Haven't seen photos of 33101 for a while.

Believe it was introduced to compete with the GNE Magic Roundabout service at the time.
I lived over that way at that time and I seem to remember all of the happy drivers which made a nice change compared to the miserable Polish ones on the 133 (or whatever it was numbered).

The GNE equivalent was around £1.20 on the Magic Roundabout and I remember thinking at the time, "Why is this bus so empty when it's 70p cheaper?"
(19 Aug 2014, 2:31 pm)Michael wrote How much us a single on the 12 now? They follow the exact same route to Sainsburys/Homebase, then the 12 turns left (terminating a few mins after) and the 13 turns right (onward to Doxford Park).
Is there much difference in the 12 and 13 to Silksworth?

The 35 follows the same route as the 12.
The 99 uses the same route as the 12 and 35 from Toby Carvery at Barnes to Silksworth.

Given that it is a Sunday, hopefully this should be a sign that the construction of the refuelling facility at the Wheatsheaf has been completed. Anyone spotted gas buses on other Sunderland services?
