New purchases have a very familiar look to them - thanks to John Atkin on 'The Northern Road Transport Trust' Facebook Group, collect today is ex-Velvet Volvo B10BLE/Alexander ALX300 R249KRG - new to Busways as 2249 and 21149 with Stagecoach Newcastle/Teesside/South Shields. Sister R245KRG is being collected on Wednesday. Both have been modified to meet DDA so are good for another few years - meaning B10BLE operation in the Teesside and Cleveland area will carry on beyond 2015.

I understand that R895XVM has been sold to DW Coaches in Chesterfield

Volvo B10M A6HOF has been sold also, and was delivered to Aberdeen on Thursday for onward transfer to Shetlands.

Should be back in Darlington for about 1630. Fare is £10 a person, payable on the day.

Is that anything to do with the new link to various villages? Or just the same as the eve/Sun Leven Valley 77?

Links Stockton > Hartburn > Elton > Longnewton > Yarm two days a week
77 to go with 87? Not like you can get confused between the two

I'd say its confusing having two service 77s to Yarm, even if one is daytime and one evening/Sundays. Why not 97?

Apparently its been changed to 88 now. Not sure how it affescts the 87. Surprised that they got dispensation to change it if it means a worsening of service on the 87 route, especially as the A66 is coming off Albany as well at the end of the month.

Don't think there's any change to the 87 as this 88 is funded by Stockton Council.

New 87 timetable is now on Connect Tees Valley although it's just updated to include the Stockton to Hartburn section of the 88 runs.

Full 88 timetable is now also on Connect Tees Valley.

RE: Stagecarriage of Grangetown
With today being the DDA Deadline day for 7.5 tonnes vehicles, it was fitting that Vario DE04XEZ would be on the 87, as seen at rest during its lunch break

Meanwhile, Solo KX04HRJ has finally had its makeover completed with the removal of the white stickers from either side of the front destination screen. It was used on the 88 today, hence DE04XEZ's appearance on the 87

It appears that its paperwork has it down as a Coach, which means it is available for use for another 5 years.
RE: Stagecarriage of Grangetown
The other one (KF52UAE) was on the 271 - both have been re-certified with no standees as a coach, which don't have to be DDA until 2020 of course.
