REVISED ROUTE - SERVICE 22 IN WHEATLEY HILL

From Monday, Service 22 will be required to operate a small diversion due to a road closure.

Buses will operate via a small section of Quetlaw Road, omitting part of Henderson Avenue between Jack Lawson Terrace and Quilstyle Road.

All bus stops will continue to be served and there will be no change to timetables whilst this diversion is in place.
RE: Arriva bus changes!
On the X21 towards Peterlee will it say:    Peterlee for Darlington

Same as the 21 or 21A (can't remember which one it will link with) from Darlington will it say: Peterlee for Sunderland

Isn't that how it was with the 21/31 back in the day

Peterlee for Sunderland
Peterlee for Darlington

I imagine it will be the same again, if not something similar.

It was supposed to be:

X21 Sunderland express via A19

However I think the commercial department have stuck their oar in, notice the screens on 4802 have changed to commercial dept approved variations, similar to Stockton/Durham but with a different font. Don't forget as well the ex-demo buses don't have Hanover displays so I don't think they can display the same info.

Yes I believe that 4812/3/4 all have Mobitec screens, like the 2 Centro's at Stockton.

RE: Arriva bus changes!
They look so much better and appear to be produced by the same software that imports the tables into the paper timetables. I know they are in the middle of various transitions to newer software to produce timetables etc, the website ones are terrible in the way they were produced from the XML files.

I agree they look much better and much more easier to read

That's a lot clearer and much more user-friendly.

On a related note, will the 21 branded EcoCitys be out on the 21 tomorrow or will it be the normal ones?
RE: Arriva bus changes!
It seems the 22/23 and 24 timetable has being removed... looks like they will go the same style as the 21/21A/X21
Apart from the 21 no other Darlington timetables are showing up along with the other Peterlee services and Durham service 6.

I also think that the new timetables look a lot nicer and easier to read, the other style looked ghastly.

I have no idea, I've been thinking that question all week. We'll just have to see what appears tomorrow.

They've been using Ecocities for the last few months on a Sunday to boost the mileage on them, along with 5A/X66 workings... It would make sense to use 21 branded ones tomorrow but we will have to wait and see I guess.

The 21 plus the 5A/X66 have been using EcoCitys on Sundays for a good few months now.

Not sure what will be allocated to the 5A, 19, 26A and X66 now the interworking has changed.
RE: Arriva bus changes!
If Darlo has pvr of 3  for the 21  will they need an xtra bus for the x21 extension?
Will any of stockton's allocated 21a be used on the new x21 section after peterlee?
The timetable seems to show darlo,s  buses been used behond peterlee .Not sure which depot is running  8.02am  leaving peterlee for sunderland?

VDL SB200/Wright Pulsar 2 1410 (NK09 BPZ), released from Jesmond following the entry into service of new Streetlite Micro-Hybrid vehicles on service 306, has been transferred to Darlington to make up the fourth vehicle of the PVR.

Stockton will operate the 0802 Peterlee - Sunderland (and return) using a Scania OmniCity, working on/off 21As.

There is also an extra weekday afternoon journey operated by Belmont depot from Sunderland to Peterlee which will probably run off service 24X from Framwellgate Moor to Easington Village.

Going off thread but where do you start with that?
61 branded as Drifter? Obviously it's now SimpliCity.
60 to Parkside Crescent? It goes to Parkside Heathway right to the top turning circle.
39 still branded as Doxford Clipper? If anything it's SimpliCity but technically it's unbranded route.
