Yeah, I want his opinion on it...

It Sunderlands joint worst defeat in history with 8-0 defeats to Sheff Wed in 1911, West Ham in 1969 and Watford in 1982 and there worst defeat in the Premier League Era

RE: 2014-15 Football Season(Who will be the best North East Team)
I try not to get involved in football banter, cos it tends to come and boot you up the backside with a size 8 boot.

Apparently Gus Poy8 wasn't happy with the performance and is looking to activ8 a release clause in the contracts of seven or 8 of the players.

He laid into them after the game, tearing chunks out of each and everyone of them, biting their heads off and calling them tr8tors, before going up to see Ronald Koeman for a glass of wine.
Koeman asked if he wanted a sandwich, but Poy8 turned it down, explaining he had already 8 earlier.

I would h8 to be a Sunderland supporter at the moment and feel sorry for my m8's who do follow them. Quite a few have been wound up since the final score, with one or two taking the b8 on fb.

Apparently xfactor joined in, having an 8-0's night on yesterday evenings show.
Not to be outdone, even Kellogs are getting in on the act, launching a limited edition Frosties and digging Tony the Tiger out of retirement. When interviewed, Tony said: "It's grrrrrrrr8 to be back!".

Black Cats sign Reveillere

Frenchman makes SoL switch.
Sunderland AFC has confirmed the signing of former France international Anthony Reveillere.

The 34-year-old full-back has signed a deal with the Black Cats until the end of the season and will wear the number 15 shirt. Pending international clearance from the Italian FA, Reveillere could be available to make his Black Cats debut against Arsenal this weekend.
Reveillere began his professional career at French side Rennes where he made over 100 appearances before moving to Lyon, where he spent ten years gaining a wealth of UEFA Champions League and Europa League experience.
While with Lyon, Reveillere made almost 300 appearances, winning seven trophies including five Ligue 1 titles. He was also selected by France for the FIFA World Cup in 2010 and the UEFA European Championships in 2012.
The defender spent last season with Serie A side Napoli, making 18 appearances and helping the Naples club to a Coppa Italia win, before his contract came to an end in the summer.

Several of our local non-league teams are in FA Cup Qualifying matches today.

Hopefully, we will see a few of them in the hat for the 1st round proper!

Same here Michael.

On my way there now - sick of late buses already and was going to jump in the Metro at Heworth, but then saw the post about issues at Gateshead Stadium.
Guess we are gonna miss kick off waiting for the guaranteed to be late 94 or walk from Heworth!

This game better be worth it!

Fancy Gateshead today, Gainsborough will fancy it I reckon...

Hoping Spenny do something, despite being 3 divisions below their opponents, AFC Telford will not fancy the trip to The Brewery...

Would love to see Gateshead or Spenny v Hartlepool in the First Round

Blyth and Gateshead through to First Round proper. Sounds like the Blyth game was a cracker - with Leek passing up the chance to make it 4-4 in the 97th min, by missing a penalty.

Spennymoor and Shildon drew, with replays away at Telford and home to Norton respectively.
I fancy Shildon's chances, but feel Spenny have a tall order getting through.
Hopefully they both progress.
