Where was this as there is an extra journey on a morning which goes onto the 110/111/112 after it arrives in Durham.

I think I saw V931VUB around 1515 parked in the bus stop at Burn Lane on Newton Aycliffe schools service 879 which also runs off 110/111/112.

Durham presumably - they leave the bus station around xx.15 the hour.

RE: Scarlet Band Motors
It's a shame that the Scarlet Band 42 is going to be withdrawn in two weeks, I actually liked getting up to the Arnison Centre as it is faster and not as busy as the 64. Sadly the passenger numbers are woeful, I rode it today and it had 3 passengers on towards Brasside and 2 back to Durham.
RE: Scarlet Band Motors
After its appearance on the 16/16A earlier in the week, T469 BCN was working service 20 today which does beg the question where was "Our Bus" Solo, it was on the 33 yesterday.

I can't imagine service 20 will continue come September 2015 as I've seen it a few times recently and I think the most I've ever seen on it is about six passengers and they look to be concession pass holders.

I think the 16/16A will survive as it does seem to get a decent amount of passenger numbers (between Town Centre and Mowden) and the school kids do help with bringing fare paying custom to the service. I think if the 110/1/2/3 and X49 can run commercially than the 16/16A can easily do so too.
RE: Scarlet Band Motors
Surprised to see T469 BCN still going.

 Is it in decent nick?
Can remember riding that when new.
It's a mess.
They've recently replaced the back seats, it is fitted with seatbelts and extra padding around the handrails and it just looks really scruffy and it didn't sound particularly nice either.

Click the link below to see a photo of it on the 16A to Newton Aycliffe on Monday.

After this weekend service X49 will now only run on weekdays.

Since this service started back in January 2012 it has had the amount of journeys reduced a few times and now the Saturday journeys are being withdrawn. How long until we think this service will be withdrawn all together.

Something to do with the Park and Ride? If they are rented vehicles then they could be used whilst they await the more permanent buses to arrive

More than likely spot on. I'm told they have Solo SR's on order but won't be ready for the start of the contract

Either today or yesterday was the first day of SB's park and ride operation in Durham.

So far I've seen E200 MX10DXK, with a piece of paper instead of a destination display, and there's a plain white Solo which I haven't ID'd yet.

Oh dear! Not looking good for its first day. Not helped that DCC gave them the P&R with not enough time to buy new buses to be ready for the first day in service.
Wonder if the boss was driving the first bus from Belmont this morning.
