Overheard whilst at Central Station (circa 1550) that it had been like that for just under an hour... Arriva are accepting tickets on services 54/55/57.
Go North East are also operating a Metro Replacement service between South Gosforth and Monkseaton.

Before they were operating the replacement, they were accepting tickets on the 54, 55 (?) and 57 (?) which apparently operate in between South Gosforth and Monkseaton.
EDIT: What are the using?

Not sure what they're using - probably just whichever double deckers Percy Main had in the depot.
Nexus/DB must fork out a canny bit of dosh to the bus operators when they bail the Metro out!

Positive I saw it on the green line during the early hours of this morning, but could be wrong given that it was so dark... That said, it's the first time I've seen it in ages if I did see 4002.

4001 was adjoined with the Alexander Miller one, and I've never seen that one for ages either.
The doors on 4001 are getting worse!

Completely forgot about it.

After a 15 Day wait, This Morning I received a Response from Sharon Hogdson MP via Post regarding the Petition for the Metro to come to Washington, I then went to the Library at Washington Galleries and got the Letter Scanned for everybody to have a look at.

Don't know if you forgot or not, but if I were you, I'd blank out your address and re-upload the PDF.

4002 has been in service and paired with rather ironically 4026 for a while now.
Better make the most of the prototypes being around because it would seem their days in active service will be coming to an end along with 2 other unrefurbished metrocars(as they are not getting refurbished) as the refurbishment programme is not too long from ending.
Unless there is still some sort of plan for them, will be interesting though.

The reply seems to be quite defensive so I'd love to know what you sent her.
Dear Sharon,
I write with regards to your Washington Metro Petition.
Whilst I fully support your own, and also the effort of others, in campaigning for the Metro to be brought into Washington, it would seem that the method of petition is simply not having any effect. Since the previous petitions were tabled in the House of Commons, we have heard little to nothing further on the matter. Could you please provide me with a summary?
Please could you either confirm, or seek a solid commitment from the Shadow Secretary of State for Transport, and the Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer, that should Labour enter Government in 2015, the proposed 'towards 2030' extension to the Metro will be given the green light?
Regards,

Good job I decided against the Metro this morning... I'll stick to the bus!
