Portillo uses his Bradshaws guide as usual and ends up operating the Swing Bridge.

Wonder if we see any Supergran re-enactments?

Used to love Supergran. Found myself humming the theme tune for no particular reason the other day.

I think I remember watching this when I was in school. Couldn't tell you what on earth happened in it like, just vaguely remember the song.

A favourite show for most of my friends at school.

Won't be the same without the Garveys, and I don't like that Sheepf***er from Wales they've got in to replace Kenny Ireland - Donald and Jacqueline were close personal friends of mine. Wink
RE: General TV thread
MarcTheA4 - aye, only started watching it when my mam couldn't be bothered to go to bed, think it was the time where Mr Buck A Roo sent a letter to that old tanned woman then me and my brother have been watching it ever since. Got series 1-6 on order lol

I've been watching it since it started. Highlight of the Friday night, even for posh people! I was about 7 or 8.

Those were the days. You can find most of them easily on YouTube...

'That old tanned woman'...do you mean Madge?

Filmed on the Byker Wall if I remember correctly.

Our school was fortunate enough to purchase one BBC computer to share amongst the entire school.
The excitement generated when the school managed to get hold of the Geordie Racer computer game, was tremendous...

BBC Computers, theres a memory, my primary school had one as well, played Geordie Racer a couple of times and another game where the aim was to get up Mount Everest in one piece...

When I moved to Chorister School, they had the Acorn Archimedes computers, they succeeded the BBC Computer and I spent many a hour playing Man Utd in Europe Big Grin...

By the time I was back in Comprehensive, they got there first PC's and Internet in 1997, where I spent god knows how many hours learning to play Champ Manager 97/98 Big Grin

When the teacher whapped out his 5 1/4" floppy, you knew there was gonna be a fun afternoon ahead - on the BBC!

'A fun afternoon ahead'....no comment.

Whey aye, the computers took 5 1/4" floppy disks. Things changed over the years and by the time Fozz got his PC's at Comp, he was happy with a 3 1/2 incher.

Oh aye, the 5 1/4" floppy, that got as much of a laugh at Easington when Albert the library man whipped out his 3.5" floppy Big Grin

JK.

Have a look in the nostalgia thread. AdamY (can never remember his new name) was mentioning it and put a pic up of a 3 1/2 incher.

These are genuine comments/posts. The disks were floppy and came in two sizes.

Eventually, they became obsolete, with the advent of CD's, memory sticks etc.

Haha I know I'm just messing around (as per usual!) Tongue.

I reckon if I saw one of those in present day I'd spend about 5 minutes trying to work out if it was a SIM card!!
