Ah right Big Grin

Speaking of MAXes, 7515 was on my X21 (damn Arriva, forgot my camera) and the revised livery is as awful as _______.

7626/27 are back at Durham, too, while we're on the topic of MAX.

Them two plus 7610/7618/7620 are on the X12/X2 today along with 7453 on Belmont's workings.

Just need 7619 back now, although I think there is a problem with the engine on that one someone said.

Kuyoyo has said previously that this will be 1404 - 1407 - the Pulsars currently branded for service X1.

It will be the correct route too.

Better still be enough Pulsar's for the 1/5/5A/19? had to stand on a Solo on the 5 the other afternoon and I am sick of smelly people having to sit next to me.

don't take my word for this but apparently the number 11 is currently on fire at red hall...

As I reported earlier in the ANE Rare and odd workings thread, 7485 is now back in service at Redcar (on the 22/64/64A today) but has not been repainted into MAX livery for the X93.

Has there been any sight of 7436 since its bump earlier this month?

They probably feel the same!

Was on 7501 this morning, and it sounded awful, I can't really explain how but it just seemed like there was something not right, the fact it was 9 minutes late probably enforced this thought.

They have fixed the NSA's on it though.

No idea why but there was a MAX X93 branded Volvo B9TL at Newton Aycliffe Town Centre around 6pm.

Sadly I was heading to the gym and I didn't have a camera on me, didn't even have my phone to take a photo. Gutted is an understatement.

7405 was in use as transport for Deutsche Bahn delegates from Doxford Park to show their latest investments I gather. We get these visits every few months and North East being home to Arriva UK get asked to help out... They went for a ride on Sapphire 7 I believe hence Newton Aycliffe being used as a transfer point (I think).

In other news 7489 and 2828 have been branded for Whitby Park & Ride today on their silver base livery, and look quite smart. Due to start service next week.

Is it the same purple logo that was used last year?

This is what Arriva are using on their website to show the details about the Whitby Park and Ride which does appear to be the same as last year
http://www.arrivabus.co.uk/north-east/up...timetable/

Also the Whitby P&R logo is pretty much the same as the Scarborough Park and Ride logo except that one is blue.

Link includes details about the Whitby Park and Ride plus the summer X93.

Thats because they both operate on behalf of North Yorkshire Council.

1578 arrived at Darlington to be used for familiarisation I understand.

Sapphire launches for 22/24 programmed for w/c 12th April, not sure which day yet though! The MAX ones on the X1 will probably go out before then

Will Blyth ever gain Solo's?
Just they look better than the Darts they currently have, both internally and externally. The Darts sound horrible as well, I was on 1771 the other week and it sounded like it was struggling.
RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - March 2015
I noticed yesterday that, although 7515 has been externally debranded for the 14/X14 , it is still branded internally, surely it would be better to brand it for all 3 routes?

no wonder 2809 was on the 23 today.

Will the 22 (streelites) and 24 (pulsars) be branded for that particular service?, sick of seeing captains tail branded 6 on service 24 regularly.

So the deckers for service 7 will be put into service before 12th April?

So where are the pulsars from service 22 and 24 going to?

Unless things have changed since I last heard anything - the freed up Pulsars from Durham will be transferring to Stockton to begin the removal of the Cadets from service.

Yes the E400s should go out onto the 7 as soon as they're all here and ready for service as it is intended to transfer some Pulsars to service 24 which is expected to be launched mid April. The 24 will of course require an extra Pulsar to be refurbished, which at present there is no sign of! However there will be 2 E400s spare so it could be possible that these will be urilised on service 24 in the interim period.

The 22 and 24 buses should be branded separately as the intention is to use the Streetlites on service 22 and Pulsars on 24. The Pulsars for service 6 will be refurbished ready for launch in the autumn but as yet none have been released by North West to us, there is no rush however.

Displaced buses from Durham were programmed to cascade to Redcar & Stockton in order to start the withdrawal of non-DDA stock (namely B10BLEs and Cadets)... The Temsa Avenues that have been purchased should allow the withdrawal of the Volvos from Redcar which should enable the cascaded Pulsars from Durham to transfer entirely to Stockton to accelerate withdrawals here instead. 1902 is the first Cadet to be withdrawn as a result of Solos arriving. Two more Solos are awaited from Darlington which should enable the withdrawal of 1753 and 1904. 1903 will be kept to cover the increased PVR requirement as a result of taking on the Leven Valley work (as the extra 6s clash with the peak X12s, service changes in May will remove this conflict as described previously)

Aye, I noticed that.

But then they would have to brand it for the X20/20 too.

There is now next stop announcements on Darlington's NSA fitted Pulsars for the X1 as well as 1/5
