And great photo too, aureolin!
Mind, I'm not letting him take the credit when it's getting positive comments..! Yours truly who has gone through destination after destination - there's about 12 different versions of the 21!

He's too busy managing the less creative things...

Got a little bit board this evening, so I thought id be a bit creative and create a revised Loop Livery on a Scania Omnicity as that is where I think 5234 to 5242 will end up once the Streetlites enter service on the 45/46.

There's only so much paint to go around! Wink

I'm sure it will follow in the footsteps of the other Volvo B7/Geminis eventually - but when that is is another matter.
RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - March 2015
3943 is operating the x1 this morning also noted was 3877 with a defective front LED screen just showing lines in the middle of the screen guessing its on the x25
RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - March 2015
Saw the new white service numbers on the 21, 50 and X21 whilst I was in Durham and they look good, could read a 21 on the destination from miles away.

Think I got a cracking shot of an Angel Hybrid displaying the number near Durham Rail Station which should be on Flickr tonight.

Will be interesting to see the X21. The Arial font is a bit wider, which reduces the height available compared to standard fonts. On the computer screen it looked like it would be alright though!

In other news, Percy Main's Volvo B7TL/Plaxton President 6030 (V330 LGC) has arrived at Saltmeadows Road for repaint into Go North East's corporate livery.

Just followed 6104(?) not in service along the road next to the new hospital near Cramlington (A189?). Any reason for this?

Possibly Driver Training.

I normally see Cobalt Clippers and North Tyne Links MPDs pass through Ashington on DT.

I doubt they'd flood in all at once, it will take time. Plus Saltmeadows can only store so many buses to im guessing its beneficial to them too.

Will be heading to Cobalt for X39. In the morning:

- 1x 309s and 2x 310s get docked for the X39.

And in the afternoon:
- 3x 309s get docked for the X39
- 3 or 4 310s get docked for short 309 workings between Cobalt Village and Newcastle

The X40/40A is going to be replaced by a Q3 from July? when GNE take it over commercially.

Remaining the same route and every 20 minutes but its gonna inter work with the Q2, which looks to be going every 20 mins to.

All of the Quaylink versa's are due a repaint this year, i think it was mentioned that 8328 and 8329 would join the Quaylink brand to.

And will interwork with service Q2 suggesting that it will serve Haymarket instead of going down John Dobson Street, up Blackett Street and back along Percy Street like it does currently. The X40 couldnt do this before because of obvious reasons...
RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - March 2015
Will it still not need buses
Cause I thought the loop buses were getting the retrofit along with the highwayman as part of the agreement with gateshead council

I don't think it was although it is highly likely anyway. Also, is the Q3 commercial? They seem to be taking a few contracted routes and turning them into commercial operations (3 in total)
