in the past on 700 i have seen a yellow MPD on there and a rare oddity a Washington Street Shuttle https://www.flickr.com/photos/bazza90/82.../photolist- it was taken outside my beautiful ground Stadium Of Light

Nexus will decide when these vehicles are due for repaint, as I don't think they are fully owned by Go North East (similar to the electric Solos on the 40 service in Durham). It would make sense for the vehicles to be repainted upon renewal of the contract.

I would of thought they would want a fresh up, knowing NEXUS though, they'll want new buses on them, didn't Sunderland uni fund them to?

Rumours saying that Percy Main Renowns 5153 and 5155 are also on loan to Stanley. Can anybody confirm if this is true or false?

No news today. Will be posted next Sunday instead, as there'll be more information confirmed by Go North East on their website by then.

Although the initial speculation regarding some of Brighton & Hove's double deckers joining Go North East's fleet was relevant to this thread, it ultimately resulted in more discussion of new vehicles which have potentially been ordered as part of Go North East's 2014/15 financial year, so all of this discussion is now available in this thread.

No - I think you're getting your financial years and tax years mixed up!

Go-Ahead's 2014/15 financial year ends on 27 June 2015.

The Last X70 last night from Newcastle was an Olympian, didn't get the fleet number but it really struggled on any sort of incline.

3814. I didn't see it myself but judging your comments on struggling up inclines makes it pretty obvious (to me) as to which olympian it is.

X2: Sunderland and Newcastle (July 2006)

That was a one off from that era. Most timetables, including branded routes, would be the same standard format.

iirc the reason why it was different, is that it was from when the service was marketed as a commuter style coach service.

Least Stanley is tackling the issue of not trying to use the Yellow buses on main routes....... although i bet 5153 and 5155 is fun for the long routes........

This weeks fleet update just confirms which Streetlites have arrived, and the spec's which we knew....  46 seat's with 28 standing, along with the mentioning which routes and the re-branding of the Lime to Coast and Country.

The following new Wright Streetlites have been delivered - 5395: NK15 ENF 5397: NK15 ENJ 5398: NK15 ENL 5399: NK15 ENM 5400: NK15 ENN 5401: NK15 ENO 5403: NK15 ENR 5406: NK15 ENR 5407: NK15 ENW 5408: NK15 ENX 5409: NK15 ENY 5411: NK15 EOB 5413: NK15 EOD all are 46 seaters with 28 standing. 5401 & 5409 are in red fleet livery, 5411 & 5413 are in red for Red Kite, the remainder are green for the former Lime services which are to be re-branded Coast & Country.

It still hasn't prevented 3832 creeping onto the X30/X31. On the 13:15 X31 from Newcastle Wink
