(14 Apr 2015, 4:43 pm)Malarkey wrote Could put a Bridge over the top so that the line doesnt have an affect on Traffic, as the way I have it on the map above it would cause chaos at the Roundabout, alternatively there is an Underpass which runs under the Roundabout, widen that and the dig a Tunnel under the road across to the otherside of Northumberland Way which leads onto the A182/Princess Anne Park as the way I have the Yellow Line on the Map would suggest.Or even make the terminus at Fatfield (St Roberts), just like South Hylton. An additional station there, covering the south of the town, as well as the ideas you suggested for the stations at the p&R sites
Furthermore there would have to be a Bridge at the bottom end of Princess Anne Park(Lambton End) as there is a Subway which leads onto the Estate, also if you were to further extend to where the Job Centre is, you would need yet another Bridge to go over the Exit to The Galleries, so potentially you might need 3 Bridges in Place, which would add further cost to opening the extended line.
I definitely think the having a Park & Ride Service between The Galleries and Northumberland Way would be the Best Option if the Leamside Line was to re-open, would save a few Million Pounds also whilst boosting Passenger Number on Services 2/2A/4 and W6 which would operate near to the P&R Site.

Wondered for a long time and still never had an answer as to why they did it.
Is that for the local elections?
Guessing you are in Bridgets constituency (Houghton and Sunderland south) for the general election.

After a split in the Labour party?

(14 Apr 2015, 8:20 pm)aureolin wrote No. Too many political ideologies.
There were enough spats within the coalition government that we've just had, and that was with a centre-right and centre party. Real left wing parties such as the Greens, Plaid Cymru, Sinn Fein and Respect would never consider working together in government with centre-right or right wing parties. The Labour Party would never be allowed to form a coalition with the Tories either.
Did anyone see this by the way?

While yesterday i had the one for Sandhill ward in Sunderland
(16 Apr 2015, 6:47 pm)leestransportphotos wrote Yeah I'll be watching it. Interesting to see that Cameron and Clegg have ran scared againThic could end up working in the Tories favour, by not taking part, all David Cameron needs to do is throw the rope and hope Ed Miliband hangs himself, if Miliband put on a bad show tonight, the Tories would love that...

The Common Sense Party...

(16 Apr 2015, 9:03 pm)Adam wrote I watched the debate and thought it was highly interesting. Out of the five, I think Sturgeon was the best in terms of performance.
One interesting point I made though was when the leaders were discussing who would go into coalition with who. Sturgeon said she would team up with Labour, but Miliband seems quite adamant that Labour will never do a deal with the SNP. If push comes to shove, would Miliband go with the SNP to make matters easier, instead of teaming up with the Greens, Plaid Cymru, the DUPs, other Northern Irish parties and George Galloway's Respect party, creating a whole tangled mess of multi-party politics?
(16 Apr 2015, 10:34 pm)Drifter60 wrote Seem to have missed this thread previously, but looking forward to this election by sure! I'm also torn voter between Labour and Green! Mind not that I think my vote makes much of an impact in my cconstituency like.
I think a Labour/SNP collation would work, although Ed Milliband ruling it out is just giving Scotland an ultimatum on wether they should risk voting SNP and possible end up with the Tories wining a majority or use vote for a safer labour government.
I'm liking the way Leanne Wood and Nicola Sturgeon come across on the debates, very intellectual, intelligent and focused I think!
However everyone else seems to be getting a lot of leaflets etc. From parties and candidates. I haven't got a single one yet!

Over here in Murton, there will only be one outcome...
Easington Constituency will return a Labour MP...This area is like Hartlepool, put a monkey up for election and it would win [emoji14]
(17 Apr 2015, 6:49 am)leestransportphotos wrote Honestly, I think UKIP have a serious problem at the minuet which is making them go down slightly in the polls. And that problem is Nigel Farage. He is a horrendous speaker, he makes points to broad and just adds that extra little detail that people don't want to hear. When he goes on them massive rants he always ends up saying something he shouldn't. Now, after watching Question Time last night after the debate I think Douglas Carswell was brilliant. The way he dealt with and answered the question, he explained things properly without shouting whereas Farage would have went wild.
Personally speaking, I feel Douglas Carswell would be a better leader for the UK Indipedance Party than Nigel Farage
