Has anything being sent to Deptford in place of 8328?

No - it's transferred as a result of the PVR decrease of the nPower services as previously discussed.

The Cadet which operated the nPower service alongside recent transfer 562 was released to be used on service 33/33A and 39. This allowed the 'spare bus' (probably a Scania L94) to instead act as the spare for the 2/2A opposed to the branded Versa (8328).

(01 Feb 2015, 10:38 am)Robert wrote No, as nothing was sent to replace 8329 because those two vehicles werent required anymore hence why they were transferred anyway.

By the time I finished typing up this post, you'd already deleted it, but to clarify the recent movements to everyone...

This is not strictly correct. Deptford's overall PVR (as at Sunday 25 January 2015) did not change. Whilst Deptford lost work as a result of the service changes in Sunderland, they also gained work. For every bus lost last week, a replacement arrived at Deptford in some form. 8260 and 8272/73 all transferred to Deptford, allowing 4914, 6084 and 8329 to transfer out.

Nothing has replaced 8328 because the PVR at Deptford is one fewer now. As I said before, the Cadet which remained on the nPower services this week has now moved over to the new 33/33A and 39. Whatever Deptford allocated in its place while they awaited the Cadet to be freed up (probably a Scania L94) has become a spare bus, allowing 8328 (which was a spare bus for services 2/2A this week only) to be released and transferred to Riverside, in turn allowing the withdrawal of a further Scania artic. There have been almost daily appearances of a Versa on other services besides services 2/2A this week - this is because they had a branded spare vehicle. This is the downside to having branded spare vehicles, and it's the reason Go North East has moved towards spare corporate liveried vehicles of the same specification, as it gives depots more freedom in what they can allocate.

Probably 12 months if 8306-8309 are anything to go by!
RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - February 2015
On the site GNE still have

The 61 as SimpliCity
The 2/2A as Silver Arrows

Simplicity still has info on the 42 and 61, I'm sure this will be updated this week?

The Lime 8 still has it goes to Hastings Hill on its route... mentions nothing it goes to Hylton Riverside Retail Park

They will probably remain purple until the new Quaylink services start.
Also, I'm gathering a Versa can be used on the 40A too?

It can be, and most probably will as Saltmeadows Operations move to Riverside from 21 February.

All of Saltmeadows operations? Like all the bus routes they run?

Is it just the bus routes or everything moving over, such as the painters etc

Doubt they'd be enough room for the painters and other miscellaneous stuff. I know its a big depot but i dont think its that big.

It is just the routes, all of them.  Remember the North Tyneside stuff already went to Percy Main a couple of months back, so it is the remaining Nexus Stuff, 5's and Quaylinks.

67x Volvo B10BLE/Wright Renown (to be disposed of prior to 1 January 2016)
10x Volvo Olympian/Northern Counties Palatine 2 (to be disposed of prior to 1 January 2017)
27x Dennis Trident/East Lancs Lolyne (to be disposed of prior to 1 January 2017)

This financial year will see the withdrawal of some of these vehicles. Any single deckers remaining at the end of this financial year will have to be withdrawn in the next financial year instead. One would naturally assume that there will be a staggering number of new vehicles to enter the fleet in 2015 to assist in the withdrawal of the above vehicles.
RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - February 2015
Shame that we'll see the back of all the Renowns by the end of the year, but I can't say I'll be sorry to see the back of the Lolynes in 2017. Smile

Never understood what the fuss has been about on this forum about the Tridents. Pretty poor reliability-wise, but think they provide a decent journey... Prefer them to Volvo B7TLs.
RE: Go North East: Latest News & Discussion - February 2015
You can't beat the B10's though, the ones which are/were on the Lime =D

I actually don't mind a ride on a Lolyne, always nice to see one turn up on the X21 and X22 in place of Plaxton President's.

Not the best reliability wise though.
