RE: Go North East - Recent Repaints
Looks like 6043-6048 will be the B9's allocated to the Red Kite Ranger - https://www.flickr.com/photos/daftlad1/5...9984562735

I wonder what is planned for the 25 as that could do with something bigger the Midi-Versa judging by recent loadings for the journey's I have been on, as Dan has stated previously it does not warrant a double decker being allocated other than the odd peak journey for schools etc.

Streetlites I believe, as they need to be Euro 6, therefore Veras will chance to go to Deptford or Washington.

Also what if there are no euro 6 spares...when the time comes especially from Deptford, or Washington with limited euro 6 buses.

Not sure what I think of the colours tbh, I'm not a big fan of the rear being a lighter colour than the front. But I'll reserve judgement until I see it in person

So I take it that means 6084 & 6085 will form the Tyne Valley Ten PVR? No doubt the 56 will need 2x spare (6086 & 87) for Euro 6 unless Deptford will have other Euro 6 vehicles to play with and only need 6087.

What will eventually happen with 6099? Obviously it hasn't been needed at Percy Main since January 2020.

I mean for washington, are only the OmniCitys, and Xlines & 6099 ofcourse Euro6, or are there others.
Because I can imagine Hexham/Deptford/Washington struggling for euro 6. Also are all xlines branded buses & tyndale links euro 6?

Also, all the Omnidekka are Euro 4/5 & 3941-3965 are Euro 4
RE: Go North East - Recent Repaints
When Consett gets the B9's for the Red Kite Ranger then there will surely be excess Euro 6 buses there. 6336, 6338-40 , 2 light green Streetdecks and 6376-77. Id expect some of those to move to support other depots with Euro 6 spares. If Consett are keeping spares I'd guess at some E400's to allow for the X30. Also if rumours are right 6304-7 will be available. So potentially Consett will release approx 7 -10 buses that are Euro 6

6099 is currently used as a spare on Xlines X1

Worst day to be put into service like
I'll have to keep a look out today while I'm in the area!

Maybe it's the weather, but the neon green 10s don't actually look too bad in person, I think the blue at the back is a tad too dark though

Also, could we not just keep the corporate streetdecks on the 47. Big Grin  Much smarter.

Not if you want other services to have an appropriate number of spare vehicles (ensuring continuity of quality provided, CAZ compliance, etc).

Is it too late to have the 47’s allocation of B9’s put in Corporate livery then? Wink

i like the front of it, I think the Red Kite Ranger name could be a bit bigger.

it is mainly the rear colours...which I am not really a fan of.

Rather twee and East Yorkshirey around the rear, isn’t it.

It might be to connect with the Xlines in that type of colour, but I would rather a green maybe.

Probably some stupid reason like that, like they said the orange and white road stripes on the updated 10 livery is correspond to the XLines 84/85.   Rolleyes
The reasoning is not at all obvious, especially to the public so why not just pick colours that go together well.

Tbh if they send on the end connect with the XLines X84/85 wouldn't be so bad with the X46/45, but lets face it the X46/X45 aren't expresses.

Also I am a fan of the Tyne Valley Ten livery, what colour would you have chose for the Ranger?

If Go North East retain the Hexham contracts next year, I'd not be surprised if we saw an orange and blue Tynedale Links, which will tie the 10, X84/X85 and local services together... What's stupid about that?

I was thinking that. But we already have the East Gateshead Rider colours. The front of the Red Kite Ranger looks similar to the Gateshead Rider so a similar red at the back would look the same as the Gateshead Rider and then god knows how many people would go. "Looks the same as a Gateshead Rider "

I will give my opinion though to something. I do like the names
East Gateshead Rider,Orbit,Loop
Red Kite Ranger
Sunderland District Silver,Blonde, Violet, Cherry,Berries but my god is it a handful to type or even say

Not for the rest
This is the East Gateshead Loop 94 service to Gateshead
This is the East Gateshead Rider 58 service to Heworth
By the time it actually finishes. It's already passed the stop it's meant to say
