Electric Vehicles
In a post on the 'Friends of the PSV Circle' Facebook group, it has been noted that Enviro400EV AR74ZEB has been made by ADL at Falkirk for Arriva. There doesn't appear to be confirmation of where this is due to go, but suggestions it may be utilised as a trial vehicle? The North East alone are expecting electric double decks for Blyth and Durham, so we may see it here.

There is also a new E400 MMC pictured, apparently for Southern Counties, but evidently investment is happening post-takeover when also taking into account the large volume of B8RLEs on order for elsewhere in the country.
RE: Electric Vehicles
According to a duty manager at Arriva Merseyside. There is going to be an Enviro400EV on trial at Speke depot.
It is going to be on route 204 in Merseyside from the 14th of September to 7th of October and will be wrapped in Metro livery

I don't know if this is the one you are referring to?

Based on your post in the other thread, it would be good to see some of those Evora's at Redcar...

I don't expect them to come up here but it'll be interesting to see where the 17x Enviro 200 MMC's currently used on the Fasttrack end up since they've lost the contract to GoAhead very soon.

Wouldn't be a bad upgrade 17/67 Plate E200MMC's for the 63 really if they could get their hands on them though. Certainly better than ancient Liverpool Pulsar's which have also been rumoured.

Get 9 Evora's for the X4/X4A aswell, as they'd be ideal for it, and that's Redcar sorted pretty much.

To be fair. The E200MMC's would be good for Redcar. They would go along nicely with the E400MMC's. If they are coming to the area though, one would bet they go to Darlo as they're used to them or Stockton to operate the long X12 Boards. I would imagine they would go to Liverpool or a big area and then from there Pulsars or simular age buses go to Redcar. Plus Redcar know how to get the best out of a Pulsar. And most Pulsars are good for hills. God knows. To be fair, I'm happy with the Temsa's at the moment. They're good buses and still performing well. I do think Arriva need to start organizing their fleet across the board to make it easier to manage instead of having different buses everywhere.

Yeah agreed, mind I don't really think they'll end up here though. Think they'll stay down where they are and withdraw something there, or join their sisters at Yorkshire and see off the B7's and Tempo's there but wouldn't be the worst. They're by far the best cascades around as other than them it's just the ancient Pulsar's at Liverpool which if the electric buses are cancelled is side stepping - at best.

To be fair the could go to Yorkshire and then they can transfer the Tempos and Evolutions to Redcar to go along side some of the last Temsas. That would be cool to see to be honest. Redcar would probs allocate them to the X4/X94 Routes knowing them. Everytime they get a new transfer they throw it on the X4.

Oh you don't want that junk up here. Didn't they already reject a Tempo a few year back, sure somewhere had one for a bit and it didn't stay around for long. Can't remember where though, quick Google suggests Durham had it though.

Durham had some Tempos. They weren't in the best shape when they arrived and from memory seemed quite work shy. Ended up going back where they came from. Still have nightmares about driving them. Awful vehicles.

Thanks for confirming, knew somewhere had them and they were disliked and sent back to Yorkshire. Seems like they've been trying to offload them anywhere they could, believe a fair few are withdrawn now though. Crap vehicles like most things Optare come out with, let's be honest.

The day there isn't one of their vehicles stinking out the North East, the better.
RE: Electric Vehicles
Does anyone know if 6 streetlites from the North East are heading for the North West, as apparently a manager in the north west has told a few drivers that six streetlites are due from the North East at one of their depots.

Are the e200s at Durham still heading for Castleford?

Those evolutions are in horrible shape, when they went into the main Arriva fleet from Tiger, the head of engineering from what I've been told by a few selby drivers, they was in horrendous shape and the maintenance at Tiger was shocking.

I think that might have been one of the reasons why they didn't take the 3 scanias from Tiger either.
