Looks like Arriva have purchased some more MAN Ecocities with OW17 WNB being the first to be registered - https://www.flickr.com/photos/128789124@...otostream/

Does anyone have full details of the Arriva Order for this financial year, as bits and pieces have been put into other threads.

Direct Rail Services (DRS) are hosting their annual charity open day at Carlisle Kingmoor depot this year, on Saturday 22nd July 2017 (ie this Saturday).

https://www.directrailservices.com/news-...-day-2017/
https://www.facebook.com/events/183926592141444/

Doors will be open 1000-1600. £5 entry on the gate.
Easiest way to get there will be on the Stagecoach in Cumbria 76 from Carlisle City Centre/Courts (for Rail Station) to the Redfern Inn. Walk back along the bus and turn right at the T junction - continue along this road over the railway line and you'll find the depot sign!

Plenty on display, including a look around various cabs and interiors of DRS' fleet. Face painting for the kids, also a naming of a locomotive.
A raffle will be drawn on the hour for the chance to start up a locomotive also.

If you can, please do pop along. Smile

Proper football is nearly back.

How will our Teams fare this season

I think Rafa can take Newcastle upwards with a top half finish.

Sunderland will struggle this year like Villa last year.

I can see Hartlepool having a tough time in Conference.

Darlington will finish in the Play-Offs in a division that Salford will totally Dominate with York, Spennymoor will be the dark horses of Conference North and Blyth will just stay up.

Also this season, I am sure the FA and National League System are making promotion mandatory at Step 5, which means whoever wins the Northern League would be forced to take the next step.

Gonna be interesting in non-League with the addition of a couple of new divisions at Step 3 and 4 which will hopefully start to ease the Southern Bias at those steps
