A handy little helping hand for anybody heading to Glasgow during the duration of the Games - here is a list of vehicles presently there (it's not complete yet - no Stagecoach or National Express vehicles, nor any of the East Yorkshire or Go North East vehicles send up as these aren't know yet) - I will update and add to it as more details become available

Hi everyone,

During a PM conversation with Tom, he came up with the idea of the 'NEB Challenge'. Basically, everyone starts the challenge at a set time, and ends by a set time (eg 9:00 to 4:00), and gains points through the different liveries and vehicles types they use during their day.

The rules;

All final details will be published later on, possibly tonight. We don't have a date set yet, but we're aiming for the 4th August 2014. The game can only be played within the Tyne & Wear region - any points calculated from out of that border will not be counted. As a lot of the vehicles and routes above can be rode on within Tyne & Wear, I'll leave them there and not change any.

The winner will be given an All Zone Buzzfare from me, or any other alternative along the same lines if they cannot, for whatever reason, use one.

Any questions about the challenge - drop them here

Cheers,
Marcus Smile

I may be going away from home for up to 2 years sometime soon(not prison btw, as somebody recently thought I was about to goto Jail)...Basically wanting going into a residential rehab programme to help me with a few problems I have had for 10 years.

Anyway, does anybody know what the bus enthusiast scene is like, if there even is one, the place I may be going to is a place called Kilmacolm, quite close to Greenock and Glasgow nearby and also Clydebank and Paisley is not too far, I would like to keep my passion for buses when I can...

Any feedback will be appreciated

Expect an announcement on this one shortly.

Can't really say too much as the meetings had some NDA to them.

Personally very much against the idea myself.

Hi All,

There's been a bit of demand for this, so I've created two mini leagues for North East Buses on the Premier League's fantasy football website. The website is free and easy to use. There will be both a 'classic' style league, and a Head to Head league, which operate slightly differently. You only have to create one team though and enter it in both leagues.

If you don't already have an account, you'll need to do the following in order to participate.
  1. Go to https://users.premierleague.com/PremierU...login.html and hit 'Register'.
  2. Complete the registration form, and be sure to check your email for the activation link.
  3. Once activated, log in and select 'Leagues'.
  4. Select 'Join a League', and then 'Private League' and then hit 'Next'.
  5. Enter the league code: 106880-33148, and select to join.
  6. Repeat the above steps for the Head to Head League code: 106880-33160
  7. You're now part of the league!

For those unfamiliar with the game, I'd recommend reading the rules. I'd recommend waiting until a bit closer to the start of the season before actually selecting a squad too, as it's subject to change significantly.

Some key things that seem to catch people out.
  • You get one free transfer per week. Any additional transfers will cost money.
  • If you don't use your free transfer, it carries over until the following week, and so on until it's used. You can't carry on more than 1, so in reality the maximum free transfers per week would be 2.
  • You can only use your transfer wildcard once, which allows you to transfer your whole team.
  • Captain scores double points. Choose wisely.

I'll keep the second post up to date with standings, and I'll also keep this top post up to date with any news etc.

Enjoy Smile

I was thinking the other day if anyone remembers the 319 being taken over or shared by arriva i think it was about 2006 before the service was withdrawn and taken over by pink panther 81

Partly inspired by the channel 4 teletext page of the same name, which was popular many moons ago - here is a problem page.

Problems can be real, made up relating to yourself or relating to a 'friend'.
Hopefully the answers provided can help us through the muddles of everyday life.

A mate is off to a friends housewarming party this weekend.
That sounds pretty innocuous - but he has become 'friendly' with a mutual female friend.
That mutual friend, will also be at the party.

One or two people have their suspicions, regarding the 'friends with benefits' relationship. Others are totally oblivious - but the two in question are unsure how to approach things.

Do they behave in an up-front fashion, do they play things under the carpet or do they pretend they don't know each other?
The male and female in question only met a month or so ago, when introduced by the married couple.

Any advice would be appreciated, cos I haven't got a clue what to tell them.
I will also be at this housewarming, so being in the know - I am aware of how awkward things could be.

Just put the news on to see there are issues in the tunnel.

Overhead wire problems have rendered one of the tunnels out of action - with both northbound and southbound services alternating on the remaining track.

There seems to be huge delays.
