Below is a list of the statutory consultees, that Nexus approached under the Quality Contract Scheme proposal. Can anyone else see a problem with it?

Only 2 bodies on that list of 19 profess to 'represent' joe public. Bus Users UK, and PTUG. I'm on the mailing lists and have both of them on Facebook, yet I was never once approached for my view. Leads me to wonder exactly how democratic these bodies are, and who's views are they really representing? Their own personal view, or perhaps a collective view of their supporters/members? Is anyone a member of either?

What would also be interesting to know is whether any members of Unite or Unison, who are not employed by affected companies, were consulted on the feedback they've provided. I'm not a member of either union, but I am both a member and activist of a TUC affiliated union. I never even knew that the TUC had been consulted...

That leaves a mixture of operators, whom have been offered the opportunity to provide feedback under the NEBOA and NTL umbrella too, and the councils, which we already know are for the proposal.
  • Arriva
  • Bus Users UK
  • Durham County Council
  • Gateshead Council
  • Go North East
  • NEBOA
  • Network Ticketing Ltd
  • Newcastle City Council
  • North Tyneside Council
  • Northumberland County Council
  • Oxera
  • PTUG
  • Passenger Focus
  • South Tyneside Council
  • Stagecoach
  • Sunderland City Council
  • TUC

Sorry for the really old news,
Ashington 7483 was running on X22 on 1/12, I think this shouldn't be allowed?

Still expecting a cheesy launch outside Barry's Bargains with Ventureman (pants on the outside for effect) launching it.

Saying that, it is nice for Derwentside to get new vehicles.
It must be 7 years since the last new vehicles were stabled at Stanley.

Well we haven't got a thread for these yet so thought I may as well start one...

Just overtaken EOS 891HUO on the M62 which is in use as the team coach for Blyth Spartans today, they've been at FC United of Manchester.

Everyone is probably aware of it by now, about the terrible incident in Glasgow last night.

Hopefully there won't be a number of deaths as initially anticipated.

Now being aware some of you folks are underage (not that it makes much difference these days!)

I'm interested in how much everyone knocks back the demon booze in their spare time!

Have to say, I'm well over the Government's limit. I work a lot from home and end up doing 60 hour weeks (though being mobile makes it less taxing as if I was office attached) and attend a lot of business lunches.

I looked at the past year and worked out I've been having on average, a bottle of wine a day. Now I know that isn't good but I don't consider myself an alcoholic. I don't drink during the day, I'm not dependent and can happily go without but its become almost routine!

So, NEB Forumers....fancy a pint? Big Grin
