Mapping

Posted by: Andreos1
It just came to me when my eldest was asking earlier on, about the amount of journeys I have taken by train (work or pleasure). I started trying to visually map these journeys and wondered if it was something that could be tied into others on here - to see what sort of pattern or trends emerged.

Would anyone else be up for this?
Obviously we would need to share the trips we have had (business or pleasure) and use a network rail map to illustrate the journeys.

Just to get started (I'll start North and work my way South), trying no to repeat journeys or mention return journeys.

(02 Sep 2013, 11:07 pm)ADLEnviro wrote Just to add a bit more to the story........They were sold to an American company, the name of I just cant remember, when still stored at Stagecoach Walkergate depot, on the run up to the Olympics Walkergate needed the space for storing vehicles that would be prepped to go to London. The company was told that they would need to remove the vehicles asap. Alpha then towed them to there yard and basically the company never paid for the storage of the vehicles, they is a court case going on so I cant say anymore.

EDIT just for the record the purchase price of these vehicles cost £5,000 a week spread over the 5 years of the contract, not including the running costs. Total waste of money by Nexus.

Is the reason they were no use for other services that front entrance was too narrow for wheelchairs, necessitating the use of the middle doors, which stops weren't equipped for? I seem to remember that being debated when they were briefly used on the 18, though it seems bonkers to have scrapped 04/05 plates when we still have R-regs in regular service!

Although it isn't likely to be used by anyone currently registered, we have just installed a nice little feature so that guests can now register using their Facebook account. This avoids filling out a registration form, and the usual registration details will be passed over from your Facebook account to your North East Buses account.

Anything to do with the London Underground, Overground and DLR!

The DLR is brilliant in my opinion, however could be more frequent on some parts of the route! It is very clean, and punctual! Also, the views around the docks are brilliant! What does everyone else think?

On the Underground, my favorite line is the Jubilee line, very modern!

Wouldn't be an off topic forum without one of these Tongue Is anybody watching this year? Or does everyone just hate it with a passion? Huh

Discuss.

Does anyone have any ideas on the allocations of the 51/2/3/4?

Also, I think the 51 will be successful, and will run the 307 off the road, what does everyone else think?

Turned up on the pre hybrid 21s a fair few times too.

Then again. I liked the Optare Excels....

The Optare Excels were brilliant. I was down Blackpool a few weeks ago, and an ex-GNE Excel pulled up on service 11.
