Does anyone have any ideas on the allocations of the 51/2/3/4?

Also, I think the 51 will be successful, and will run the 307 off the road, what does everyone else think?

(31 Aug 2013, 11:35 pm)gtomlinson wrote I have fond memories of her random trips on the 28. Fantastic legroom.
Turned up on the pre hybrid 21s a fair few times too.

Then again. I liked the Optare Excels....

The Optare Excels were brilliant. I was down Blackpool a few weeks ago, and an ex-GNE Excel pulled up on service 11.

So The Tories been made to look like a bunch of tits in front of the world, after Cameron was seemingly adamant we would take military action against Assad, then lost a vote in Parliament...

What is you guys opinions, I personally say well done to the Politicians who pushed through the defeat on Cameron, yes atrocities have been committed and the evidence for such an act is insurmountable, but in my opinion our Arab Allies should be leading the strikes i.e Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan and Turkey....

Your opinions guys...Yay or Nay

Thought I'd start this off for things going on around the region (non-transport related) that may be a particular interest to some members.

Looks a decent day out if you're a fan of proper grub, chilli, and interesting drink. I think I may head across on Saturday.

Caught the tail end of a programme on BBC Parliament earlier (it may be on i-player, haven't checked - 20:10 - 20.55), primarily about Dr Beeching, but it also focused on the investment made by successive Governments since then, both in the nationalised and privatised sector.

It didn't really throw any new light or inform the audience about any new revelations, but it was interesting.

It just got me thinking, was Beeching right? Was he shortsighted? Why have successive Governments barely touched the railway infrastructure since in the way of funding? Why since privatisation, has there been a massive increase in subsidies and also investment in the system - not like anything seen before?

Any thoughts or ideas?
