Do anyone know whether 39696 is still at Hartlepool depot ? I believe it was delivered there for spares removal about the same time that 39695 went to Sunderland for the same purpose.
If still there, is it visible from the outside or is it hidden away in the corner of the depot. In other words, will I need to pack my hi-vis jacket when visiting !!
Thanks in advance for any info.

And as posted on the Merseyside Dennis Dart forum last night - as a result of these, presently Southport-based Pulsars 3082-8 are earmarked for cascade to the North East. These are slightly older than the last batch cascaded from the North West fleet (1524-33 are 12 plates, these are 61 plates) and are amongst some of the few remaining examples in the North West and Wales fleet to retain the 'interurban' livery.

Are GNE tickets valid on GNE scholars buses? On all others I can pay 90p to board the service?
Today I almost got on a GNE scholars bus as I had a GNE ticket and the bus was there but then missed it and didn't get to ask the driver about getting on. Looks strange getting on a scholars bus service but school kids get on public buses so its not really that different.

(19 Jan 2022, 2:04 pm)Storx wrote I can't see any new depot in North Tyneside, the place blatantly barely makes any money considering every route is subsidised bar the 1/309/310/311 and the last 3 are on a reduced timetable at night time because, 'North Tyneside is a low usage area during the day, never mind the evening,' and the drivers are used elsewhere as said last night.I know this was said in a different thread but it's not correct. The drivers that would normally have been driving the evening 1, 309, 310, 311, 18 and 19 etc that have now been cancelled are actually sat in the depot canteen for 5-6 hours doing nothing, there is usually 5 or so sat there
There's no chance for getting investment in a full depot out there imo unless something changes big time or there's some form of working together with other operators to save money, work with Arriva at Walkergate for example which supposedly is going to have electric charging potential but that sort of partnership is unknown.

A survey has been sent out to Amazon staff tonight asking thoughts on a planned extension of the 58 to Follingsby Park.

Sorry for the controversial post but
GNE has submitted a bit for ZEBRA funding for 59 new electric buses for Tyneside & Hexham routes which includes 17 vechicles for the 309/310/311 Cobalt & Coast routes on the Coast Road corridor
Question is
Can Norham Road site sustain 17 electric vechicles?
Does this suggest the site may need to be relocated?
Or will 17 vechicles be displaced to a different depot elsewhere?
