Im sure this has been mentioned on her before but last night i was waiting for the 28b back home in the freeze rain and ice of market street. no shelter and now they've decided to put a bus stop not in use sign on the bus stop, although it quite obviously isn't as i got on the bus there,,,, anyway when my bus  pulled in it was heaving which is very unusual., when i got on and paid i mentioned that it was unusual to have this many and the driver told me they had turned around a 56 at Gateshead due to late running. that when the30 odd people at the bus stop started asking him if he had seen a 56 as they had waited from 730pm and it was now after 8.  They were not happy!!

to give the driver his due he was honest about it and told they what had happened rather than the normal shrug of his shoulders.

He also said chester le street were 27 boards down yesterday ( not sure what that means)

and the reason the 28, 28a and 28b dont run from eldon square is due to SNE wanting more space for their buses at GNE expence.

It seems to be vandalism seems to be a major issues.

57's have been hit, 2 60's have, 1 got fixed then got a rock through the window the day of return, 35's.
Normally its Houghton which is the worst for it.

Seems to be on the rise.

Does anyone know if these still have the awful interior. And whether it has been retrimmed or repainted.

And if 8347 will be retrimmed & repainted?

Anyone know if the X9/X10 will be changed to single decker buses due to this. Or if really any double deckers should be operating especially ones which don't go through built up areas e.g 16A.
