Think it does have a set board on weekdays, normally seems to do the X46 from Stanhope to Framwellgate Moor on a morning then goes onto either 22 or 24 from Durham Bus Station, can't remember which (assuming nothing changed when service changes occurred recently)

Half seem to think it's ugly, whereas the other half can't seem to contain themselves.

That's just throw out all sense of female empowerment eh! [emoji57]

Just to show no sign of sexism, here's a male undergarment advert on a bus: https://flic.kr/p/yWhJjm

1) X22 does appear to be a mix of Pulsars and Centros. Don't forget it's temporarily running with a PVR of 4 until next week
2) Unsure
3) Doubt it
4) Tends to be on 64/64a whenever I see it, but these do interwork with 62 on a Saturday so likely will appear on there
5) 4516 can appear on either
6) If there is a Temsa required, you will usually find it on the X3. The 0810ish from North Skelton seems to be a favourite board (this turns in Saltburn to return to Lingdale on schooldays)
Thanks for the reply, hopefully I can get on some of the old fleet tommorow...

Yup.

(04 Apr 2019, 11:29 am)RBZ 5459 wrote It's just in for repaint. Guess they have a few more years left in them, and they have done all the Solos at Blyth now so must be wanting to get the mini-buses through. Plus it has been in its current outfit for all of them 14 years..! Midlands have painted some 53 platers.

MOT probably Blyth does alot of MOT for durham county & even other companies

Ah, that sounds like a perfectly rational explanation.

Not even any scope to trigger any wild fleet movement speculation theories! Smile

Yep Friday is test day at Blyth. You'll often find buses from other depots at Stockton on a Wednesday for the same reason.

Arriva Durham have the new ticket machines, and drivers seem to be having problems with them as 1412 is 20 mins late on 23 due to driver trying to relog back into the machine.

Interesting. Last time I caught an arriva bus, was the 62, last week, and the machine couldn't recognise littlun's concessionary pass, and it was still the old machines. Drivers logging into the machines always got a lot of passengers free travel on the 64, in the past, so it sounds like the new machines haven't resolved old problems with the arriva network.

At least Google Pay seems to actually work on the new machines, with the old one our phones would always be 'moving too fast' even though they were perfectly stationary on the machine. Plus, now if the driver doesn't actually listen to you when you say you want to pay on card, they can select that after they've put the ticket in rather than having to select it first.

The downside is I guess I wont be getting any more free rides when the emv system decides to stop working altogether

How do Sunday Interworking Patterns work on 6/22/24 and X21/26/66?
At a random guess I would think...
22 Durham To Sunderland - Sunderland To Durham - 24 Durham To Hartlepool - Hartlepool To Durham - 6 To Cockfield - Cockfield To Durham - Back onto the 22... PVR 9.

X21 Dar - Pet (09:57) - Pet - Dar - X66 Dar - Mbro - (12:25) Mbro - Dar - X26 Dar - Kemmel (14:14) - Dar (15:25) X21 Dar - Pet (16:57) - PVR 7.

RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - April 2019
Darlington’s interworkings on a Sunday are:

1 to crook and back, 7 to Durham and back, 5 to Bishop and back, then back to a 1

3 skerne park and back to town, 4 to minors crescent and back to town

13a/13b interwork with a 10 on a night

X21/X26/X66

X75/ 12 to hurworth only

Doubt it'll be anytime soon with DB trying to sell off all Arriva assets

1401-3 have a few more years left in them. They drive better now then they did when they were new.

Rumoured to be in talks with Stagecoach.

If anything was to happen with the Northumbria Depots, I'd reckon to keep the competition authorities happy that Stagecoach will get Blyth with Ashington & Jesmond going to GNE.
RE: Arriva North East: Latest News & Discussion - April 2019
I would expect service cuts to see off a few oddities (1759 another one), but as has been said wouldnt expect 1401-3 to go anytime soon.

As a passenger, these are pleasant buses to travel in. At least they don't have the creaks and groans that some of the (much newer) Gemini's have!

Has Blyth's 1760 returned from Thornton's yet - anyone seen it?
Looking at the accident damage to the nearside rear corner of 1766, I wonder if it will be repaired- maybe it's not viable.

My dad sent me a picture early in plain blue at gardiners, Ashington. It is rumoured to be being done up for the 58 so guessing they have the contract for longer.

1766 don't look repairable. Nothing has even showed up to replace it yet. 1922 still around as it was at the 500 group running day on Sunday so they could send that to blyth.
