Probably just shortages at Consett / Hexham, they're likely just easier to get as they're working to Hexham where Consett's engineers are already based.

StreetDecks on the 10/10A/10B will just be as bad if not worse, than the W*** RBB Tridents which replaced the M*** FTY Olympians on the 602!

Half the Cityrider allocation of B9's were off the road today with Ex London B9's in there place.

I had 6095 back from my Mam's and this broke down at Wrekenton with an alarm going off which sound similar to ones you'd hear from reactors.

Looking at the Fleetlist on Bustimes.org Go North East now only have a Fleet of 492 Vehicles which does not seem to be enough vehicles for the services they're operating in my opinion.

If you check bus times fleetlist you will see that half of the cityriders were not missing today, 6089 and 6090 can not currently be allocated to the 56 for time being so are used on the 20/20A/X20/65, there was only 2 vehicles suffering issues leading to their replacement, the rest have ran their runs, some 56s run off scholar's so use ex London B9s

Why are 6089/90 unable to operate the 56 at the moment?

Constantly allocated to those services. Madness to think they have a few decker's trudging around on services they don't need to be today because of there Euro Capability, not exactly putting the customer first.

Whole issue is that due to the heavy low height decker requirement because of poor route planning & timetabling not forgetting being short of PVR on the X45 - this then causes knock on effects and when GNE eventually can't pull a StreetLite / E200MMC to bail the X30s/X70s out......well!

GNE can easily sort this without making any major changes and even reduce the low height decker requirement to 8x during Mon-Sat.

- X30 does current X32 route hourly but via Shield Row rather than East Stanley. This helps with timekeeping (see further down).

- X31 2bph Mon-Sat and gives 3bph on common sections shared with X30 (Stanley) and X71 (Whickham & Dunston).

- X32 does current evening & Sunday X30 route, keeps it in line with '2's doing the evenings & Sundays (X32/X72).

- X30 & X73 interwork with PVR of 4x using remote reliefs in Stanley - also gives a handy same bus & throughfare option from Catchgate & Annfield Plain to Gateshead and Team Valley North.

- X31/X70/X71 all interwork with PVR of 8x and reliefs in Consett.

Sorted! And gives GNE more flexibility including the option to use full height Euro 6 compliant deckers (even if not the best) on the revised X30 & X73 if needed!
RE: Go North East: Rare & Odd Workings 2024
And here's the proof that it can easily be sorted. X70 also consistently timed for school finishing times (presumably Emmanuel why there's currently a change in the X70 & X73 times during the afternoons??). X73 still fine for Metrocentre shift workers starting and finishing at the top of the hour.

Slight change to the evenings & Sundays too. Rather than having a bus sitting in Stanley for god knows how long, give an evening & Sunday service to East Stanley (doing a clockwise loop after / before commencing a trip to Newcastle) as well as a service to the Lobley Hill Estate. Easy wins with no extra resource.

And the 6, 12 and X45 split into their own interworking patterns on Sundays - to further reduce the need to allocate low height deckers on what should be a rest day!
