He started there when it was GNER and has been through NXEC, EC and now VTEC. He said the only time he haven't loved it is when NXEC were in charge as they were scared for there jobs

Which station do you work at, may I ask?

It was my last day at work yesterday; I'm moving onto pastures new. Some of you know where I'm going, some don't, while others can probably make an educated guess.

I felt kind of sad to be leaving but I suppose that's how eleven years being in the same job affects you. Anyway, hopefully it'll be onwards and upwards from here!

I can make a educated guess at GNE? - Since you went to the driver recruitment day anyway.

Wherever you are going, good luck.

I will neither confirm nor deny anything on a public forum. If you (or anyone else) must know, PM me and I'll tell you in private, otherwise - speculate away.

Thanks for the wishing me well though  Big Grin

BIB: A puzzle to solve... You're staying true to your name, aren't you? We ought to get NEBCD Malarkey on the case!

In all seriousness - very best of luck for the future. Mustn't be easy leaving a job after such a long period of time.

Lets not dig out my Alter Ego after such a long period of absence.

The secrecy makes it sound like it could either be a really exciting job or something embarrassing like working in Poundstretcher [emoji1]

It's not really a secret - I'm more than willing to tell anyone who really wants to know. I'd rather just keep the name of my employer out of the public domain that's all. As we've witnessed (or has been alleged) in the past there are certain people who are willing to fabricate stories if they happen to get upset. While I'm certainly not out to upset people (at least on purpose), I'd rather not take any risks - if that makes me paranoid, so be it!

The job certainly isn't embarrassing. Working in Poundstretcher isn't that much of a stretch from what I was doing although it was more out of store work.

Yeah that's probably best as I have heard some stories of this sort of thing happening in the past.

Most embarrassing I had was a weeks work experience in the British Heart Foundation, it was soul destroying as it was me trapped in a small room with old ladies talking about the soaps - unsurprising I got the lowest score for socialising. I would say it's rewarding but all there was to do was steam iron clothes but I wasn't old enough to do this so all I did was price up videos and I got the price wrong - who was going to pay £3 for videos in 2010!
