Does anybody know whether a North West Explorer can be purchased on the 685 at the Newcastle end?

They can (on both Arriva and Stagecoach) - but make sure you make it crystal clear with the driver that you're wanting a one for the North West rather than the North East.

The new early 12s started this morning in Middlesbrough and were operated by 27174 so look out for this later!... Guess it's on a 36/37/38 board

All of the branded South Shields ADL E300s that I have seen today now have two "Faces" applied to the back window. However, no faces have been applied to the windows on the sides yet (below the fleet number).

My school could do with an Olympian, mind...beats the Ford Transit used for netball and football matches, group outings to the cinema, etc, imagine how nice that would be if it were an Olympian!

Used to be an LDV Convoy for me! We did have a Ford which was a T-reg iirc, and that was bloody awful as well. Imagine going from Sunderland to Carlisle in one!

My school had two old Ford Transit's which were not very pleasant, better than the red LDV Convoy they had which I'm surprised was road legal, our science teacher once told us there was smoke coming through the bus on one trip.
