Timetables for Arriva Northumbria have been released. Looks like 306 is running on Boxing Day and to Whitley Bay too!
Unless it works out cheaper than the dead mileage of having a half hourly 308.

Surprised that they're doing Boxing Day services this year, especially the half hourly combined frequencies on X10/11 and X21/22. Good to see though given the circumstances.

Can someone point me in the direction of a weblink to the Boxing Day services please? As usual, I find Arriva's website worse than useless. Thanks.

I know this probably isn't the year to try stuff but it would be nice to see if they can try and serve more areas and remove some duplicates sometime.
I never really see the point in running both the 43 and X10/X11 since they pretty much duplicate each other especially half hourly. Surely doing something like having the 43 hourly, 45 hourly and then the X7 hourly would be a better option and only running the 52 between the Freeman and Newcastle, your serving a lot more communities for just +1 PVR ie. Dinnington, Camperdown, Brunswick, Seaton Delaval, Seghill, Burradon, New Hartley, South Beach, Annitsford (small walk), Gosforth Park (new houses), etc while keeping the 30 min frequency along the Great North Road and leaving nowhere without a service.
X7 - PVR 2
45 - PVR 1
43 / 52 - PVR 1
If you want to keep the PVR the same, you could otherwise swap the 45 to the 46 and interwork that with the X16 which I guess is just going to have 20 minute breaks every run.
