September 2020 service changes

RE: September 2020 service changes
(28 Aug 2020, 2:33 pm)ifm001 wrote On the other hand as well the 28B is a "Kibblesworth" service and departs from same stand as other Kibblesworth services 28A and 29.
If anything they should swap the 28A,28B and 29 with the 27 and make the stand adjacent to the 21.

Then you have the issue of the 28A not being anywhere near the other Bensham services.

Sorry I meant swap the whole stand with the 27, so the 28,28A,28B,29 and 53 is it.   They can all still be accommodated with the stand swap

Be better to have:

Stand M: X12, X21 (Express Services)
Stand L: 21, 25, N21 (Low Fell / Birtley)
Stand K: Q2, 28, 28A, 28B, 29 (Secondary Stand L + J and Kibblesworth)
Stand J: 56, 57, X1, X1A (Sheriff Hill)
Stand H, 27, X9, X10 (Felling Bottom Road / Heworth)
Stand G: Q1 (Heworth), 58 (Felling Top Road)
Stand F: Unchanged
Stand E: 1 (Whitley), 53
Stand D: Unchanged
Stand C: X66
Stand B: Unchanged
Stand A: Unchanged

Groups things a bit better and takes a bit of pressure off Stand L that has 14 buses an hour running through it atm.

Obviously the Bensham services aren't directly next to each other but they're opposite each other at least.
RE: September 2020 service changes
the 1a used to serve kibblesworth and left from the same stand as the 21. Think the problem is with the numbering.... maybe they should have gave the 28b a different number like the 719?
RE: September 2020 service changes
On twitter, the Consett booklet guide was apparently distributed at the launch event today. Surely, it's more hassle to print whole booklets out than putting a PDF on the website. Any ideas when these will appear?
RE: September 2020 service changes
Looks like all the timetables, now have a new format

X1 timetable: https://passenger-line-assets.s3.eu-west...2fe196.pdf

Currently all the timetables are set up the same, so the X-lines ones are the same as the 28 for example.... does look very smart though, much better than the previous ones. (not including the black and white version)

They’ve been on the website for a week now I think. You just had to change the date then click the PDF button. I was surprised they’re all just GNE colours no branding at all...
RE: September 2020 service changes
They've been visible for a few days now (only if you skipped ahead from today onwards).

Better than the black and white copies and does the job, but I would hope that these are just temporary too and will be replaced by format as per the printed versions further down the line.

They would be good for the non branded services, all you need to add on, is the picture of the bus - so like on the 35/35A timetable a Citaro.

Nexus have the 700/701/702 changes on for the Sunderland Connect - https://www.nexus.org.uk/sites/default/f...140920.pdf - starting on the 14th September, main changes include it going back to every 15 minutes and not going to Roker.

Timetables from the GNE site:

700/702: https://passenger-line-assets.s3.eu-west...34bcb3.pdf
701: https://passenger-line-assets.s3.eu-west...111a28.pdf

What will be allocated to the 701 throughout the day?

Just temporary while they resurface a section of Portobello Road, but the 25 has a canny trip around Vigo on an evening this week.

Thanks for the information, does the 701 get busy?, I've never actually seen it.

Normally very busy when the Uni starts back up, same with the 700 and 702, obviously social distancing is a problem now, so you can't just cram them in on a Solo as usual.

Thanks for the information, it all depends when the Uni goes back too, atm there's not a date for them to return.

The 21 has too little layover time at the moment since they didn't change the timetable for September.
There's been loads of times I've seen it running in twos and even threes this past week.
