The 968 is always worth a trip out on.
What I would call an 'old school' route that offers a tour of the world.

(03 Jun 2021, 7:56 pm)OrangeArrow49 wrote As they are works buses, it doesn't feel right to board them. I've wanted to ride the 792 in both directions, and I'd like to ride the 392 on the return journey. So I could board the return journeys for an interesting couple of routes? But I shouldn't get the morning 792 to Benton? How are the routes interesting? They seem like nice routes. Only because they run so late in the afternoon I haven't been on them yet, and the lack of confidence to board a works bus!
As long as you don't enter DWP Tyneview Park (stops aren't open to the public) then you should be fine. It's a normal bus service - just that there'll be mostly DWP/HMRC staff on there.

Here's a photo from within Tyneview Park. As Andreos has said they mostly offer a tour of the world

Yeah, it's not possible to enter Tyneview Park, ordinary passengers have to get off at HMRC. It's a shame they run quite late in the afternoon, but I'd like to give them a go. Something a bit different.
The 792 has been operated with the old Go Northern X922 WGR bus recently. A beautiful little bus.

This is remarkably imaginative, considering that you have combined my ideas from 2 different threads. My current intention though is to do Ashington & Blyth on a different day from South Shields & Jarrow.
Newcastle -> Blyth -> Ashington -> North Shields in that order. There's no direct bus between North Shields and Blyth so you'll be doing 2 buses or using the Metro.
It all connects quite nicely aswell
10:21 to Blyth (309) in at 11:26
11:42 to Ashington (Arriva 1) in at 12:19
12:30 to North Shields (19) in at 14:00
14:10 to Jarrow (319) in at 14:22
Seen you mention it in the GCT thread. Add hours on or off it's the same every hour until about 2pm.
I have seen that routes 19 & 309 meet at Cobalt Park, Procter & Gamble. However, I agree with the suggestion of including the Metro, which I probably will from Northumberland Park to Whitley Bay.

No worries, yeah probably do the Metro change instead; more frequent and not sure what the connections are like at Cobalt.

I wanted to see both towns, then Blyth, and this was still a respectable journey and dropped me off at a good bus interchange. My 19 was a Solo SR but I saw some Scania Omnicities on it.
Route 434 had a Volvo B9TL on it. I anticipated a much smaller vehicle, more likely a Solo.

Probably a good idea tbf, nothing really much to see South of there and there's plenty services save you a bit of time backtracking aswell.

It's because it interworks with the 448 but the schools were off last week so there wasn't the need for a decker.
