Industrial Action August 2025

All routes were operated by Walkergate today, all (I think) of Walker's singles were swapped with an equivalent number of Slayford deckers on Sunday night, it'll remain this way until at least Friday.

So exprect a lot of single deckers on the 62/63 this week.

Lucky 11300 didn't encounter any low bridges whilst on its wanderings.

Was a nice change to see Newcastle Busways 10646 passing my shop in Welbeck Road today as opposed to City Busways 11297 which normally plys the route.

Who needs heroes anyway? Villians have more fun.

So just a quick update. The strike on Thursday has been postponed while we vote on a revised pay deal. However, I am saying now don’t expect it to get accepted. It could but I am not sure. It is the same deal that got rejected the last time just tweaked slightly. 3.3% back dated to 28th April and then 1.7% from September rather than January. If it does get rejected, continuous strike action from August 31st will follow.

I don't wish to make this dispute public nor personal (please don't take it as such) but I personally think yous would be stupid to reject it. If yous do, kiss goodbye to any significant amount of backpay.

That would sail through here no bother.
