Anyone else been charge for multiple tickets when only buying one on gne or any other service using contactless. I've just check my account and there are 6 pending transactions for 5.50 which only one is correct when I bought a tyne and wear ticket. Am hoping when they become "proper" transactions that gne only take one lot of money!

It shouldn't be possible, as most terminals are designed to stop this happening. Once it takes the payment, the transaction is complete as far as the terminal is concerned, so it shouldn't take another never mind a further 5.

I'd double-check with your bank tomorrow and ask them to cancel the duplicate charges, but I'd be minded to flag it to GNE too if it has happened, so that they can look into it with their software vendor.

Cheers. Will do. The reason I ask is I was getting on an gne bus and the lady inform of me wanted a single and she went to put card on the tray and the driver said wait it was going to charge you for two.

Sorry I thought I had replied to this. Spoke to my bank first who were amazed that I got a paper ticket rather than tap o tap off which if I hadnt had been so mift I would have found amusing. They canceled 5 9f them but couldnt guarantee that it would work. I then tried to speak to gne but no one was at customer services..... next day only one payment came out and gne came back to me asking for more details but it was obviuosly resolved. I told.gne I'd go back to good old cash. No reply lol
