RE: Scarlet Band Motors
(08 Jun 2016, 7:26 pm)Jimmi wrote Well, there's usually one on the 700/701/702/703 round Chester-le-Street and there has often been one on the 113 along with YN04LWM, also saw one on the 879 the other morning meaning it was probably on the 110/111/112 the rest of the day.

CLS normally gets one of the branded ones (KNV/KNW) doesn't it? Big'un saw KNW on the 113 this morning. 58 usually gets at least 2 of DXK/DXL/KNU plus, for the past few months, a solo.

Funnily enough, I've never caught a SB solo. Considered it when I took Littl'un out on Monday (big'un was already back at school) as it would have saved me more than a couple of quid busfare, but I was glad I didn't, as it was too hot in Durham and I wasn't feeling well and was glad of more opportunities to escape.
RE: Scarlet Band Motors
The full PVR of the 58 has been made up of E200s, today.

Not unusual apart from the fact that none of them are white.

So, As well as shifting a Solo, they seem to have done some re-painted.

They appear to have moved one of the white E200 vehicles on to the Chester le Street, Town Service.

This Solo has previously spent time in the North East with Hunter Bros of Tantobie.

Wow! I'm surprised to see this back up and running. It has been sat in Gardiners for years.

I was surprised when I got on it in Ferryhill and discovered it had bench seats!

I've known for a while that they acquired another Solo and it was running around in white but I had no idea it was this one, today was the first time I've seen it so had to get a photo.

Rather odd them buying that one but selling a newer one.

It can't of been as I asked the driver where the pink one was and he said it was 'sick'.

It was sent to Scarlet Band last week when W7jpt was involved in an incident while operating service 113. Registration is Mx08dhk.

RE: Scarlet Band Motors
And Scarlet band had some of the muckiest buses I'd ever seen, today. According to the driver of the 85, purely "keeping it simple"

I wouldn't mind, but i couldn't see the rear numberplate on that vehicle at all, until I got really close (it was FFR, it turned out) so they could find themselves in trouble with the boys in blue if they're not careful.

Oh yeah I see some of them and it makes Scarlet band look bad having buses that dirty in service.
