You cant get the 100 from gateshead. Your options are 49/a or X66. There's no competition or reason to add wifi given how long the average user will be on either of those journeys for, either.

Any updates on when 695, 696, 698, 699, 700, 705, 6141, 6142 and 6144 will enter service?

Yeah I know that. Then again the 100 had 3 ALX300s on today. The X66 is normally packed so I prefer to use the Racers but the X66 wasn't full tonight on my journey

I say this about the 6 from whickham. It takes 40 mins to stanley and i do regularly run/walk quicker to stanley. However painful, it's a really successful service, looking over passenger counts and those depot reports. People from lintz and annfield regularly stay on to Newcastle.
I've taken many pointless journeys full route. The 11 and 97 are two I rarely get on. The 97B, however, is different. Really gets your blood pumping at 520am [SLEEPY FACE]

There is quite a large amount and variety of posts in here, to be fair. It's easy to miss something by skipping over or just not being in the loop for a day or two.

Stagecoach received funding to have those vehicles fitted with Wi-Fi. I'd imagine the Enviro300 vehicles wouldn't have Wi-Fi if it wasn't for said funding.

Just seen a solo branded connect with #connectwithgooch as a destination and on back display 9999?

As 628? (newly branded solo) on 700.

Hopefully the lettering in 'North East' is spaced a bit better in the flesh and that's just a Facebook mock. Nice style though.

Still prefer the current one

It's not uncommon for companies to have digital variants of their logos, specifically designed for Social Media display pictures.

Comparing the two logos below - the old logo had no digital variant. The landscape logo didn't really stand out on Social Media feeds such as Facebook and Twitter...

Yeah exactly my thoughts as I've been there myself. And on the flip-side, a logo like the one uploaded to Facebook might be a little tight to fit onto say the front of a Solo, and not really stand out. Time will tell as ever...

Spotted this on Dan's photo on Flickr:

3867 (W177 SCU) is currently at Saltmeadows Road undergoing internal modifications prior to disposal - the extended luggage bays are being removed from this vehicle and placed into Scania N94UD/East Lancs OmniDekka 6144 (YN05 GZL), which has recently been acquired from sister operating company Brighton & Hove. Once prepared for service, it will be allocated to Percy Main Depot, for use on the "DFDS Seaways" 327 service.

Wondered how long it would take to end up on here  Tongue

I wish they would remove those other WiFi stickers will be removed from the black thing on the top window. The two blobs either side of the destination is enough.

They should be getting three. Two for DFDS, and one for the 434.

Does stanley get 3888 back? 😛

I would think so! Though I think having 3885/6/7/9 transfer to Percy Main would make more sense, then have the Omnidekkas replace them and either the B7s from Percy Main can be withdrawn or used elsewhere. The B7s are really not practical for service work at Percy Main - they are used almost every day on the 1/11 and there is not enough space for buggys, wheelchairs etc. but at Stanley they aren't in service as often other than on the 15/15A.

So I am guessing it will be 6134/6144 for DFDS Seaways?

3888 was the second bus I ever took, as it happens. That was back in mid 2015. The first was when 5250 was first at stanley as west durham swift. That was back in 2006 for going to a match - Newcastle vs Juventus in the european cup, of course. Only in the past year have I taken any attention to the enthusiast side of things. Oh well, ramble over.

Can someone tell me, did Dennis Dart 570 get withdrawn, or did it cascade to another depot?

It hasn't been withdrawn.

It is currently at Saltmeadows Road Depot having a manual ramp fitted and should also gain the seats from another recently withdrawn MPD which has already been re-trimmed, prior to PSV test next week.
