Yes, I agree.

One thing I have noticed though is that it lacks the WiFi feature-blobs. I would assume that these will be added at a later date.

Could this be for PSV tests?

Shields Gazette has some more photos of the incident. Looks like a Toyota has hit the side of the Solo causing it to crash into the lamppost. Not really sure what happened but people in the comments said it was an old man who pulled out in front of it (not sure if eyewitnesses or just guessing).

Wouldn't be surprised if they go in 2018 then, is it just the Citaro's getting done or will something like the Omnicities go next, like near end of the year?

55/75 Citaro's getting done, that might take a while...

I'd be very surprised if the Omnicities went - I think a deep clean at Thornton's like the Coasters got is the closest they are going to get compared to the Citaros.

Ah I see. Just the news from 6 days ago says it's been stripped of branding prior to being refurbished at Blackburn

It's likely to go down next, after the Durham Diamonds are done - we don't when that will be as we don't know when the first lot are due back.

5290/91 still need to go and 5292 when it re-enters service, 5290/91 will hopefully go down with the first lot of ex Blaydon Racers go down at once.

Be good to see all 75 Citaro's done though.

Hopefully they do, we will have to see, what happens after all of the Citaro's are done.

That must've been the Citaro I passed when on the 10B going through Teams earlier with the Citaro on an engineer road test as it looked freshly painted

You were very close to me because I was driving through the area at the time and saw as you described. I was thinking how fresh it looked, the amount of salt currently on the road turns anything grey!

Will the Fab 56 B9's be used on the 901 this weekend? (as the metro is off between South Hylton and Sunderland)

Spare vehicles are used for metro replacement from almost any depot. Omnidekkas are always preferable as they can hold 6 push chairs. 6133 is a usual suspect along with 6016, 3966/7 and 3963. Given this was true of the FLE->Monkseaton and a few other replacements, I'd say it's not as depot specific as you'd think.

Met Reps are being ran from Stanley and Riverside I think, this weekend.

It's Sunderland, it would be easier for Deptford to run the service, due to fuel etc, it takes 20 minutes - http://www.nexus.org.uk/sites/default/fi...202017.pdf

and it's a Sunday, where all the B9's won't be needed.

Might be plenty of spare buses at Deptford but may not be plenty of spare drivers.

Weren't they like 30 drivers down at the start of 2017? Some drivers who went from CLS and Stanley still haven't returned..

Are these Solos longer than the New Solo SRs - currently on Tynedale Links/indigo North Tyne etc?

They are 0.05m shorter at 9.2 metres as opposed the 9.25 metre SRs.

I wonder what they did with the 5 centimetre of bus they had leftover after constructing the SR...

I was out in Bishop Auckland today and I noticed that Crook Depot's 6146 has gained a private registration plate X21 GNE, if I remember correctly it was originally YN55 NFE.Angel
