I've seen it running before, but not sure if it was on time. There's no excuses, it Asda run to schedule. It gets cold up in Consett. Even in summer, its like Iceland up there. In the winter, there's Morrisons to hope it comes on time. There's Lidl chance of me hanging around Aldi waiting for it at this time of year, before Tesco back to the depot.

It says on the bus station at consett what times it departs from. Like 3 times between 11 and 2?

Following the entry into service of former Plymouth Citybus Solo 713 at Stanley, Solo SR 650 has been released to Saltmeadows Road for repaint into Go North East's corporate livery ahead of impending cascade to Percy Main.

710 and 711 are also now at Stanley, with 712 and 714 due to arrive at Stanley by the end of next week.

Any chance on Sunday, you could make a full list of cascades or cascades yet to take place?, if you aren't busy, please.

Keep an eye on the news? I am sure it'll appear there when the information is available.

Be interesting to see the impact that the Askew Rd and latterly Hills St closure has on peak workings.

With numerous services ommitting the interchange or parts of Newcastle, I imagine there's some fair scope to turn a few services (the 21?) around at Gateshead.

Is there a reason they are choosing to instate the older Solos at Stanley and move the newer ones to Percy main, opposed to just instating the likes of 713 to Percy Main and keeping the Venture allocation as Solo SR?

Might it to be to do with 710-5's larger seating capacity over the SRs.

Didn't realise they had many more seats or space infact, havent seen one in person yet. Do you know the difference in seating between the 2?

33 in the long ex-Plymouth Solo opposed to 29 in the current "Venture" branded Solo SR.

I doubt this is the main reason given that there's only a difference of 4 seats in total, but the ex-Plymouth Solo are Euro 4 whereas the Solo SRs are Euro 5. It probably makes more sense to allocate the Euro 5 Solo SRs to Percy Main where a number of the depot's services have Euro 5 contractual requirements, than Euro 4 Solos.

6003 was given a lift home this evening.

Spotted about 1730 on the A19, at Doxford Interchange.
Presumably it failed at some point on the southern portion of the X1.

What's the holdup?

How on earth are users of the 10 coping?! It's an outrage! They might have to look out the window, ask the driver, use their smartphone or even common sense.

I'm off to light a candle for the users of the Ten.

It makes sense to take it south, if it failed heading south. I'm not sure there's anywhere to get it turned around.
Totally baffled as to why they would take it as far as Peterlee though.
I would have thought Easington Village would have been more than suitable to get on to the A19.

maybe there's a low bridge? There'll be something.

To get to Peterlee from Easington Lane, there's the country roads that work towards Shotton, or the way the X35 (which has seen decker allocations) goes towards Easington Village, down the A182. The A19 has a junction with the A182 at Easington Village - and this is where I would have thought the decker would have joined the A19.

The only low-bridge down there, was at South Hetton (Plesspool) and before it was demolished, had a high enough clearance for deckers to get under.
