Yes, 8310-18 are now in use on the 49/49A with the Euro 6 Streetlite predominantly in use on the 6, 12 and 57 at the moment.

Is this the permanent allocation or is it just whilst vehicles are away for other routes?

It is ‘permanent’ in loose terms, yes.

The Streetlites were Euro 6 so have been moved onto routes which go into Newcastle, in readiness for the Clean Air Zone.

I think I'm one of the few people on here that don't actually mind the Versas, give them a bit of a refresh inside and I'll happily take one over the Streetlites

Tbh I prefer the Berries Versa's over the Ex-Black Cats.

I was on 5480 last night when it was standing in on the 309. It was awful and felt like it was going to stall everytime it stopped.

I don't think the Cummins engined examples are as bad from previous experience.
