RE: 6086 - New Pride Bus
Tbh, I agree that this livvery looks rather bland. Especially in comparison to 6050, which looks much more vibrant (and nostalgic) and even has the extra detail of multi coloured headrests..

But of course, it's the thought that counts.

If there is any Deptford changes, they will also need to update the decals

It has every single deptford service, however the 60 only goes to Seaham.

But that isn't really a pride bus is it.

Whilst I'm a big fan of network maps, I'm not sure what benefit a map of that scale on the offside is providing?

Are they expecting people to read it from across the street?

Especially because it doesn't have the location or route numbers.
Which means its just lines.

I am not a fan of "special" liveries like this to be honest. But I think it's quite clever how they've used the space where the stairwell is with a piece of artwork using the network map.

It reminds me in some ways of the SWR logo.
RE: 6086 - New Pride Bus
That route map is pointless, I’m looking at it for the second time and I’m still struggling to work out which routes are which, and that’s from someone who knows the network in that area and is a member of this forum. So I’m not sure how anybody catching a glimpse at a bus station would take any useful information from it.

One obvious error, it seems the 60 line (bright blue) doesn’t go to Parkside. It seems to end at what appears to be Seaham Harbour. Some of the white calling points, I’m not sure where they are representing either. Seems also slightly odd that the map is going south down to Peterlee and west to Washington, I think? But only includes route that serve Sunderland City Centre.

If they wanted to market the buses they have, they’d have been better putting Sunderland District logo on the side with Drifter, Prince Bishops and CityRider logos.

I know I'm gonna get rinsed for this

But why was 6086 in North Tyneside. When it's branding a Sunderland Pride bus

I don't know, but it was there for a good hour, 90 mins.

can't wait to see the photos, see if they were worth the tyne tunnel cost, the fuel cost and drivers wages.

And some of the 35.

Maybe use some of the 55 decals to add the 60 cos atm it terminates at Seaham.

oh and the 38. And change the colour of the 20 from Sunderland towards Shields.

Not really a great time to bring out a bus with a route map on which could be getting withdrawn is it?

Was it there for a photoshoot, or have you assumed that?

I had a feeling I recognised that network map - it's the one in the Sunderland Local Guide, and oh look - the 60 only goes to the harbour in that too!

You know what I quite the "Route Number Coloured Strip" alongside the "Brand Name" in this booklet. I feel it makes the Brand stand out more and would give an improvement to passengers identifying a service by just "Colour/Name" unless the brand name is "Tyne Valley Ten" then you "Colour/Name/Number", i'll call it the "CNN Technique" when it comes to branding services.

What do you think Stenning will think of your CNN technique?

Speaking of Stenning... https://twitter.com/creatingdesire/statu...FGGMbDTbuw&s=19

Absolutely shameful. How will we get anyone to consider bus as a good way to travel when we allow this crap presentation. Those responsible are letting us all down. Shout, scream, pillory, get angry, point fingers, make someone cry. Don’t give up. We have to act????????

There's a lot more to public transport than presentation. Far more important things. Such as the network and connections around us.

Not sure if he's been sneaking around on here and has pinched my mantra regarding poor networks and changed it to focus on his business interests, but it made me chuckle.

I've fixed it.

The 60 map is a clearly quite a big oversight. Listing the routes in order with their brand names, does look pretty smart. Although the 9/135&136 look slightly being branded as “Go North East” as the whole booklet is Go North East buses, again you’d be forgiven for thinking GNE was either a brand name of just two routes, not the overarching company or potentially even that GNE didn’t operate every other service.

Also why is the 9 using a blue colour on the list, not the red/blue corporate colours like the 135/136 also furthermore on the map it’s a yellow line? The 9 seems a bit confused!

Shouldn't it have a red (not pink) back, then?
