Redcar depot
Official line seems to be it’s transferred following the end of MC contracts hence PVR reduction but nobody seems to know for sure as Redcar apparently under the impression they’re still operating after Easter until the summer…

RE: Redcar depot
Unless the tracker wrong currently up to 64 minute delay on x4.
4 temsa looked to be tracking. 4715 came off this morning.

No surprise Redcar are already struggling to meet demand with alot of buses still off the road

Two were following each other on Thursday PM towards Whitby.
Did some digging and there was one running 10mins late initially and just didn't make up any time. But lost loads.

Based on the last three rides I've had on Redcar vehicles, work needs doing to help them get up and down those hills.

MC contracts retained until end of the year. MC5 operating using the late starting X94 board, allows for the release of 1404.

4712 is one of the best Temsas, along with 4719 of course.

Yep agreed, also 4707 and 4725 are great too in my opinion. To be fair though Redcar's allocations haven't been great recently. Then again, a decent amount of Redcars Pulsars are sluggish and terrible on hills so can't really blame them for throwing Temsas out on the X4 and X93.

That’s what the X94s are for

Well I don't know if the MMC's have dodgy trackers but 2 haven't been used for a few days. They're throwing out Single Deckers unless the tracking is wrong of course

I notice one is 7579, which did love a spell VOR at Ashington. Constant red engine management lights, and spent a number of weeks at various points on the 35 so it was easy to recover when the inevitable happened. ADL went to look at it multiple times, and it seemed to take an age to sort it - unless they still haven't.

All 4 were out there, I passed 1420 still going after its tracking gave up!

When they get time, I'm sure they will do them. Personally I don't see the point in doing it unless they are going to get a full repaint and interior rework to the new Journey Mark. It could also be a hint they may be getting transferred in the future but I would doubt it.

Apparently 1438 was meant to return a week or 2 ago but still not seen as of yet. Also 4711 has yet to return since January. Redcar are slowly recovering still but there is still missing services happening.

There’s several buses not tracking properly… 4713, 4719 at least in recent days!
1438 was at DTbus in Brandon and seen around the Durham area today, possibly heading home?

It will be good to see it back. Also I got to say 1436 since return looks great. I know it also had some work done but it almost looks brand new. Good to see Redcars fleet getting up to quality standards once again.
RE: Redcar depot
Well I imagine if a lot of people that were travelling to Whitby and Scarborough from Middlesbrough today won't be happy. 3 Single Deckers serving the X93 today including one Temsa 4723 and another 2 single decks serving the X94. Shocking for a weekend. Does anyone know what problems Redcars B9's suffer because they seem to be out in service for around 4 days then sit out for like 3 days?

And with added train strikes too today doesn't help matters

Two deckers covering on P&R today, as both the Gemini's are currently off the road for inspection defects overnight, which is not something that can be foreseen.

1 of the double deckers is still in Ashington and two of the B9s are still off for long term reasons.

They are doing everything they can with the vehicles they have available.

Yeh true. However, I would personally cut off some 63's and put the drivers in single deckers in tandem with another to have 2 single deckers on the same trip so that they have double decker capacity.

Also which decker is at Ashington?

Disagree with that mind, the 63 is one of Arriva's flagship routes, having a 30 minute service is complete unacceptable to bail out the X93 (again).

Should scrap the 64A  and just let the 64  do both routes  as I see the 64A pointless

To be honest I'm surprised the 62 still exists personally since it got curtailed at Redcar, the X2/X3 seem to be really struggling, could easily send them via the 62 route out of Redcar and along Trunk Road, Grangetown being omitted.

South Bank and Normanby Road probably deserve/need the 15 minute service.
