I used the Yutong on both the X24 and X34
Its ran quite well on the X34 because the dual carriage section are fairly short.
It's not really suited to the X24 it's to slow on the A19 I lost count of the amount of small hatchbacks went speeding past
Stagecoach NE Yutong fleet

Wonder if the Yutongs will be a regular allocation on a Sunday?
When are rest of the Yutongs entering service?
Ooo Friend, Bus Friend.

RE: Stagecoach NE Yutong fleet
I've just seen this reply from Stagecoach NE on X.
We are planning allocating electric buses to services 16, E1, E2 and E6. However depending on servicing we cannot guarantee every bus will be an electric bus.
----
Looks like its confirmed they'll go on the 16 too.
One Yutongs is on the X24 today, Bustimes has it allocated till end of service (20:09pm from Newcastle)

well god knows how bad they will be on the 36 then considering a good part of it is the A19 and A689 and they can already sometimes struggle with timekeeping. Am not against them for the Stockton services but I can really see them struggling on the 36.

They can do 52MPH, the MMC’s and E300’s are limited to 50MPH……
RE: Stagecoach NE Yutong fleet
So now that Sunderland’s Yutongs are now out in service, what is the plan for Stockton? I’ve heard one will be out tomorrow 21/2 with more being sent out from Monday?

They will enter service as soon as
1 They are legally allowed to put them in service.
2 The chargers are working properly and they is enough to charge enough of the fleet.
They are the main 2 reasons they is also a few other things Stagecoach might be considering.
3 Have enough been trained on them to operate enough of them on several services.
4 With the current issues of vandalism and cost of insurance as well as cost of repairing do they want to avoid putting brand new buses in certain areas for the time being.
Once the majority of these have been sorted then more electrics will be put in service but for now why don’t you enjoy the Man’s and Enviros while you still can.

16 has been quite bad....
Yeah. Goes to show how bad the timetables are. You have to have the handbrake on to open the doors and wait for them to fully shut before pulling off.
This is not helped by the hole digging on west wear street.
