I saw the pair heading south under their own steam on the A1 at Scotswood on Friday morning.  Not sure I would have fancied that 7+ hour drive!

Thought the original intention was 373xx to Slaty in exchange for 364xx?

You'd think they would have done 26282 first, thats been knocking around the streets of Newcastle for months now and looks horrendous since it has its front end 'modified'

How true is that, that the 373’s are going to Slatyford to replace the 364’s? Some of them 364’s are a hell of a lot better than the 373’s

Wonder if 27242 will follow suit.

I thought they were only at Shields to cover for 27740 and 37317 that were on loan to Walkergate to cover for the Silverstone vehicles.
RE: Stagecoach North East Latest News
I know it hasn't been confirmed yet, but surely the Enviro 300's which remain have to be going to Sunderland to replace the Gas Buses. The numbers pretty much match perfectly now.

Btw speaking of allocations has the 6 and 7 officially been downgraded to Enviro 200's now or is just because Slatyford has a ridiculous number of the things that they're being dumped on there?

Possibly, i thought they may have been replacememts for a couple of the remaining darts.  Arent they getting withdrawn shortly?

Slatyford are due their Yutongs over the coming weeks. 4 will initially enter service on the 30/31/36 while the chargers and infrastructure is sorted then the remaining 14 will enter service soon after. This probably means 24101-24115 won’t have long left in service if the plan is to replace them with the Yutongs.

Are these being delivered in the old corporate livery or the new one?
RE: Stagecoach North East Latest News
Has 27253 always had a LED clock with the time and date on?

First time I've noticed it.

Edit:

Just noticed when someone presses the bell it says "Stop requested" too.

If not, it's had it a while, most of Slatyford and Shields' 27s, 36s and 37s have them - they'll all get them eventually as it's for the NSAs when they get activated.

I doubt there's a particular order they're going in, probably just when it goes in for repaint or major work.

Ah right, cheers for the information. Smile

Good to see NSA's been put on all the buses.

To be fair, it's not optional. Every bus registered after 2014 has to have them this October extending to every vehicle by next October.

They're leaving it until the last minute really. Don't believe Arriva have started on the few vehicles that don't have them either - just Streetlites I believe.

They have started a while ago, at least in Northumbria. I was on 7554 a few weeks ago and that had them fitted, having previously been one of the few E400s without them.

Yeah that's fair, they can't have much to do. Just the ex eco painted Streetlites left now unless I've missed something?

Be interesting to see if there's exceptions for next year as I can't imagine the operators being so keen to put them on 15+ year old vehicles which they'll all have in the North East unless there's some major withdrawals coming in soon.
RE: Stagecoach North East Latest News
Which E300's have moved over to Stagecoach Cumbria?

What have they replaced?

I forgot about that. I bet its costing the companies loads to install them all.

No idea if they’ll be in local or we got you or if they’re 25 or 75 reg. the first 4 will probably be 25 but depending on how quick the depot gets done if they’re not out by September 1st the rest will be 75 plate,

Doesn’t bode well for Stockton if there’s ever an issue with charging electric buses, if this is the reason for Sunderland’s disruption.

Stockton’s are working this morning fine - because, I understand, their fitters followed Peclian’s instructions allowing the update to be successful.

Bet thats fun haha

Looks like 73064 is out, its also running 6 mins late according to bustimes... wonder if this is a test to see if they've fixed the problem.

Do Sunderland have any buses on loan due to these problems?

36477 from Slatyford and 19683 from Shields at least, there may be others.

Judging from Bus Times, 27176 27246 and 27247 are all on loan from Stockton along with reinstated 27240. 35189 is also on-loan from South Shields - who also have placed 27245 into service.
RE: Stagecoach North East Latest News
Cheers, thank you.
