Was done a while ago I think. 19387 has just gone in it too.

This article states that Slatyford were supposed to get 18 double decker EV’s for the 30/31/36 so why did we get Yutong E12’s. Weird I wonder why it changed.

I have a feeling that might be wrong, it's always been singles - as far I can remember in press releases.

28013/15 are currently tracking on the 4/13 on Bustimes though

Just checked and correct, as of 22nd December. 28013 and 015 are reserve, rest are for disposal.
Allocation now is:
19387/437/438/440/444/641/642
27175-81,238-42,249-54,715-18,720,771-73,796,883,884
73056-76,184-89
36966,967,971-76,978

Even though it also lists the 3 and X24, and certain 4/13 and 20 boards as being gasbus operated (running boards for the 3s, however, now all state "Vehicle Type: EV E12" at the top though)

Cheers for the update on the fleet.

Shame the 16 is now a mixture of fleet....

Any updates on the extra electrics Sunderland are apparently getting?

19437 at slatyford replaced by 19385. Unsure if permanent or until the problems with the CAZ are resolved.

Work on Slatyford depot begins in 2026 with the vehicle shed being taken down to install the chargers so when that’s done 73184-189 will head back unless Sunderland keep them and Slatyford get new ones as they’ll need new ones to replace 73191-194 which went to Rugby.

If all boards now say EV E12 I’d imagine they’ll go fully electric soon then same as Stocktons boards which say EV E12.

there keeping 385 then when thats solved they can use it on X24 19642 is having the same issues which has led to that been Euro 5 but they are down to decker that can enter Newcastle which is 19444 as 19387 and 19438 19440 and 19641 are all vor
RE: Stagecoach North East Latest News
What’s up with 26068? Says it was last out November 14th 2025 but that will have been a mistrack as MOT expired 2nd June 2025. Was getting a new engine after breaking down on 25th February 2025. Last heard it got sent to Stockton to be worked on as they have very little to do now.

As I understand from a friend who works at Stockton (but not in engineering), Slatyford's engineering have taken that much off 26068 for the other MMCs that it has the Stockton lads stumped on how to get it back up and running.

Unfortunately this is something we have been telling management since day 1 of the gas buses going any issues with the EVs and deckers at the same time you lose a key commuter service into Newcastle with the X24s or worse on a sunday when Sunderland cover the X34s, been crying out for decent deckers for ages just falls on deaf ears

Hopefully with Stagecoach East Midlands (Hull & Mansfield) receiving EV's along with other divisions across Stagecoach Group something will come our way to sort the fleet issues we have here in the North East.

Hull’s are displacing their remaining original batch of E400MMCs to Grimsby to replace the last surviving B7RLEs I understand.

They should really start to listen to drivers and passengers but they never seem to care....

Shame they have the monoply in most areas of Sunderland, hence why they probs don't care what passengers think as they know, people have no choice but use them to get to work etc.

I've emailed a few times about the how horrendous the 16 (Sunderland) is and its just always the same chatgpt replies so I've just gave up.

Can't see it getting any better too.

Yeah they practically stripped it for other buses, emergency exit door, panels etc. wonder if it’ll ever see service again.

A lot already have. Most E200/MMC & 400MMC have them now. If they work is the question
RE: Stagecoach North East Latest News
I was talking to a shunter at slatyford today when I finished my shift and he said we are definitely getting EV’s for the 32/32A smaller ones that what we’ve got for the 30/31/36 but unsure what they will be if they’ll be E100EV’s or something else.
RE: Stagecoach North East Latest News
If it's true, it be Yutong E10 like what Go North East have on the 53/54.

Here's a similar vehicle operating for Stagecoach Inverness - https://www.flickr.com/photos/gjm-photog...3027447109

However I have my doubts as I'm sure there are more important routes that need upgrading to Electric than the 32/32A.

32/32A are nexus funded so maybe something to do with them? Maybe they’re wanting the routes ran with EV’s because I agree, I’d have thought they’d be one of the last routes to go fully electric. Stagecoach must be getting funding for it otherwise they wouldn’t do it.

i know about 12 years ago when i worked at slatyford drivers and allocators were begging for another ten deckers due to the increase in passenger numbers, thats probably up to about 13 or 14 now.
