Go North East: Rare & Odd Workings 2024

RE: Go North East: Rare & Odd Workings 2024
6006 working from Consett today on the 47/X45

6805 is on the 58, whilst 6823 is on the 21.

X5/X15 almost all single deckers today.

Meanwhile the majority of Consetts new ultraliners are still parked in the depot.

Later joined by 645 aswell. Although both 641/644 only did a few trips before being taken off.

round trip on the 78 is well over 3 1/2 hours

totally unacceptable

Judging by the trips each bus did.

641 worked a two full trips (Consett to Sunderland & back to Consett)

644 worked one trip (Stanley to Consett only)

645 worked four full trips (two trips to Sunderland)

Are double deckers a normal allocation on Hexham services now? Nothing is being moved around to displace the Solo SRs and Versas at Hexham? Only 721 and 723 I expect will be withdrawn in the near future?

March contracts will probs see the solos leave from Percy Main so they could be withdrawn then

What is changing at Percy Main next month for the Solos to leave? The Coaster StreetLites moving onto the 340, 341, 342?

Ive got a theory that if the 341 & 342 are kept. They will just chuck lites on that route and the 333 will get a small lite. Percy Main have struggled a lot recently with the solos

Ah, of course the contracts haven't been formally awarded yet, so they could in theory reject the 341/342 contract. Usually a mixed allocation on the 317, 340, 341 and 342 I've noticed. Which StreetLites are small at GNE?

Solos getting withdrawn or just moved from Percy Main?

Id say moved. I cant see a reason they would be kept

It was on Monday and Tuesday as well, the usual DFDS stuff was on the 35xx and 34xxx so assume a shortage out

A wet and standing room only Streetlite isn't quite the commuter experience one hopes for!
Wistfully stuck in the 90s

They were trying to replicate the Omnis on the 21 experience.
Rumour has it, key commercial staff got the idea after a heavy retro night, last Tuesday in Reflex.
