Extra vehicle to enable some repaints to start taking place for buses that are staying I’m told.

Can't honestly see them repainted 1444-1449. They're 16 years old now surely close to end of service.

I'm sure it was said somewhere that anything that is remaining in service will be painted as they want all buses in corporate colours. If they're not getting replaced this year, chances are they're getting down.

Might be? Definitely is. Finished. Not getting an engine transplant for 2 months use as it’ll be done for when the new ones turn up anyway.

RE: Redcar depot
Wonder how long it will be before Arriva try their luck with 7401-06 on the X14/X15/X16/X18/X20 when they arrive in Ashington.

Suppose they can't be any worse than the ex GAG B9TL's or Daimler StreetDecks on the A19 haha!

RE: Redcar depot
I'm not sure if this is the right thread or not. Just wondered if anyone knows/can find out if Temsa Avenue 4718 has gone into preservation in a museum or not, and if so which museum? Much appreciated. Haven't seen any info about it since it was first mentioned it could be going to Wythall transport museum.
RE: Redcar depot
1372 towed back to Redcar this afternoon after breaking down on the 62
Believe another new decker has arrived at redcar depot.

Apparently, don't these full under the same Euro 5 / 6 loophole as some of GNE's Cummins StreetLites due to their age?

Given their previous use, it would be silly to put them on anything other than than the 1/2/35/57/57A

Stick their registrations into the CAZ checker and you will see they are all perfectly fine to enter the CAZ.

I'm told they are officially for the 35, but the local allocations tend to ignore what is specified as the vehicle type on the board, so they will probably end up everywhere.

The local allocators are, and have been for a number of years, completely unable to allocate vehicles correctly. The frequency with which 1479 and the 434 Solo(s) appeared on the correct routes was always astonishingly low.

You'd hope that, with the apparent increase in branding with the new MD, those responsible for allocating vehicles would be reminded that they don't just put stuff where they fancy without any thought to how suitable it is.
