I take it 6043 has went across to be another additional spare for the 700/701?

I have heard it needs a new engine. Not sure if thats 100% correct though

6043, 6046 & 6048 are meant to be allocated to services 700N & 701N.  Both 6046 & 6048 arrived at Sunderland with defects that need fixing.  Hence why 6961 is on loan.

Agreed. I was talking to a gateshead driver who said exactly that when off the road can be for Month's. Ive only been on one once on the 27 and really enjoyed it srened fast but the driver pissed on my parade saying they were awful to drive Sad

Surprised they didn't take the seats from 6190 before being withdrawn

I was also going to say, bit of a waste not replacing the seats. Could of swapped out the seats on the 10.8M Streetlites

Moving across from Go North West this weekend are there 3284 - 3288 for Gateshead Shuttle Service ( Not sure if it is temporary or permanent) as they are getting renumbered 6241 - 6245.

Would it not be 9*** if it was a Temporary thing?

Only reason I could see is for them to replace the remaining 3 Ex East Yorkshire Gemini 1s that are used on the 850 Scholars or the Ex Manchester Gemini 1s at Washington

GNW have 7 of that batch currently out of service with the Electroliners taking their place, would'nt be surprised if all 7 of the 61 plates transfered across to replace the 4 remaining B9 G1's along with the 2 enviros dual doors still in service. There are also 9 60 plates B9s also out of service.

You also have the 3 older versas still in service that could be withdrawn, with deckers taking place on other services and cascading other single deckers.

I remember a washington driver telling me several months back that there was more cascades to come, so yes you could be right about all 7 transferring  over. We'll  see
