Stagecoach cannot wait until franchising to invest in buses they’ll have to do something the fleet in the north east is not good enough

Wow I’m amazed Stockton have loaned Slatyford a bus, bit far for a bus to travel for a short term loan

When is franchising. I know it is quite away to travel

Slatyford are due 7 more Yutongs which should replace the 61 plate E200’s but even then the majority of the problems come from the MMC’s

(29 Jun 2026, 3:17 pm)TransitObserver wrote 10634 is at Slatyford you’re right. It got taken off the 62/63 at Walkergate but nothing replaced it over there. Doesn’t look like 73057 is at Slatyford it’s showing as on the E1, E2 and E6 at Sunderland

Would've made a lot more sense for Sunderland to send a Yutong than a non CAZ compliant E300, when the latter could be used on literally anything in Sunderland other than the X24 rather than the usual Slatyford dumping ground of the 6 & 7.

Not sure if it has been previously reported on here or not.

The MMC’s are absolutely knackered, especially the 69 plate ones and they’re like 6 years old, quite disappointing tbh.
So when the 61 plate e200s sadly leave the fleet, will the 32/32A be converted into 373** e200 shitbox operations, and will the 6/7 just get whatever bus is available since they always will at least have 2 or 3 61 plate e200s on the boards.

I agree there all battered. I mean 26291 on the 685 today and smoke coming out the engine but yet still ran it. 73183 is all scratched and dented

Them 69 plate E200MMC’s have such high mileage for their age. They’ve been battered on the long 36/37/38 services at Stockton then just dumped at slatyford in such a poor state. I’m sure some of them are over 400,000 miles for just over 6 years old. Most of the 66 plate ones are in the 400,000 nearly 500,000 range so them 69 plates are very high in comparison and a lot of the 16 plate E400MMC’s are over 500,000 miles now they are being pushed to their limit now.

Especially when with 83000 awaiting re-certification Stockton are currently running on 4 operational spare buses!

Well it’s still here. Can’t see it being a permanent transfer but unsure how long it’s here for. Maybe until our buses get sorted as we’ve still got Sunderland’s 27771 and that definitely shouldn’t be staying as it can’t go into the city centre.

Any idea what Walkergate are getting for 10634/5/7?

That's from Shields not Sunderland and is it not just a loan?

Likely all these are releasing deckers to go to the F1

Makes sense. Wonder where 36471 is. That’s been off since 10th June but that’s been painted must be having issues as it was dead slow last time I drove it

I’m off work this week so I don’t know much about what’s going on.

I’m kind of glad that 19388 and 19389 have gone to Walkergate not a fan of them old E400’s now. Any idea when 10635 will be showing up at Slatyford? These all permanent transfers?

The older E400s are ridiculously sluggish imo,and rlly do show their age unfortunately.60 plate ones are so much nicer tbh.Wish slatyford had some, would be nice, but will realistically never happen sadly.

Not to sure when 10635 will be turning up at Slatyford but they are all permanent transfers

Them 69 plate MMCs were in very good condition and looked after.  It’s Newcastle who have managed to wreck them in just over a year.
