36478 (NK61 ECN) is at South Shields, caught the latter earlier in the week on the X34.

You mean 36468 (not 78).  Been at Shields a few weeks now along with 36477.  Those two, replaced 36478, 79.

Yeah the 61 plate E200’s 364**’s are leaving Slatyford and being replaced by the remaining 7 Yutongs we’re expecting. I wouldn’t be surprised if Sunderland got some more as they’ve got some of Slatyford’s Yutongs.

At least that is one less bus that's now branded for the 36/37/38, since there seems to be no intention of them being de-branded or repainted

It will have been - Hartlepool will be operating the Monday to Saturday daytime journeys on the 14 from the 28th to free up resources at Stockton to operate the new TVCA-funded extensions to the 39 and the X60. Hartlepool will also be operating the weekday daytime journeys on the RP1 from the same date - Saturday operation appears to remain at Stockton due to the hourly frequency.

No, it’s because Stockton would have more vehicle workings than they have space for in the depot with the new TVCA contracts and service extensions. Moving some work into Hartlepool resolves this issue.

No, it’s a Sunday probably had a spare double decker. Expect 2 E200MMC’s again tomorrow

You’re right, they should. Drivers have even complained asking can we not have deckers on them, they need deckers. But unfortunately apparently there’s not enough to spare 2 deckers for them routes.

Walkergate have loads of spare deckers surely they could just lend 2

Wouldn’t imagine so given they’ve got 15 E300s that are used on double deck boards day in day out !

(11 Sep 2026, 7:50 pm)TransitObserver wrote 36474 now working out of Sunderland. I believe it’s been painted but not updated on bustimes. I’d like to think that will mean they’ll be sending the Yutongs back to Slatyford soon.

Are these not replacements for 36973/4 that have transferred to Hartlepool?

If Slatyford drivers are asking for deckers on 685 I assume that means that ridership is considerably up compared to when the 685 was Arriva Jesmond and Stagecoach Carlisle.  So the route being solely Stagecoach has to be good news for ridership.

I’m not sure, Slatyford didn’t get anything when losing 36474 and 36475 to Sunderland and 36468 and 36477 to South Shields. I know all the 364**’s are leaving Slatyford so makes sense them going to Sunderland to release the Yutongs

Hopefully not as Sunderland don't need more E200s. Are the chargers all working at Slatyford now?

They’ve been installed but not switched on yet for some reason. Still charging the 11 we’ve got now with diesel generators
