That'll not deter them, it'll just push the problem further along the road, obviously they are trying to protect the passengers and drivers, but believe me, the lengths some people go to cause damage now is quite freakin scary

I agree, the diversion route was quite a surprise to me, normally they avoid Blakelaw by going up Ponteland Road then going down Etal Lane, but they avoiding the area completely. Not sure if the issue is Blakelaw or Cowgate as both estates sit either side of Ponteland Road.

No, I think you're reading it right - but turning at Springfield Road I guess means they arent serving the northern end of Cowgate near Harehills etc.

I'm surprised for the expresses they arent diverting any via Grandstand Rd and through Kenton to Kenton Bar, as it could be quicker/shorter and maintain more links (but would mean Aldi & primary care centre wasnt served on Ponteland Rd).  Presume X47, X77, X87 turn off to Kingston Park from Jct 77 while X87/X88 will turn right from J77 then right at Kenton Bar roundabout (i.e. X47/77/78 won't actually serve Kenton Bar roundabout, just the A1 roundabout, unless they're looping back on themselves to maintain links from that end?)

Just searched "Blakelaw" in Facebook. You don't have to scroll far to see what has been going on. Its like a war zone after dark

Aye just had a look at the tracking to confirm, seems like they are and skipping the Kenton Bar roundabout on the X47/77/78. ie. https://bustimes.org/journeys/937450935

Why would it be there for repaint, you've been told before, theres buses still in Stagecoach Beachball livery, those take priority (except anything thats had major repairs) over stuff in the 2020 livery
