I'd seen they amended it earlier today, hopefully goes ahead as planned as I think it could be a good day out if Buses are operating frequently along some of the old Northern/Go North East from Chester-Le-Street as indicated on the poster.

Good to see someone trying something different. Hopefully it is well supported.
These type of events seem to work well elsewhere so hopefully other preservation groups locally will support them in providing vehicles to operate services as there is great opportunity between Wear Bus Preservation and NNRG to provide a number of Ex Northern/Go North East Buses that served Chester-Le-Street themselves alone.

Just have to be careful with some of the routes, especially if they have one that runs through Pelton where there's a low bridge.

Confirmed to be taking place at Park View School (North Lodge) on Sunday 18th October 2026 per there Facebook Page.

We’re pleased to announce a Heritage Bus Running Day in Chester-le-Street on Sunday 18 October at North Lodge Park View school!!
We have had interest from multiple people to attend, we have the dutys available and if you are interested and not yet got in touch, please do!

We will sort a full pack out for vehicle owners who plan on doing runs - we will also have static vehicles and hopefully a few stalls!
Buses will run from 10 in the morning and the last one will get back just before 5.
