(30 Aug 2026, 3:31 pm)SN69 ZRC wrote I've noticed the 18s have been pulled from Benton Estate completely with absolutely zero consultation or service change notice. It's baffling people stick up for this company the way they do when their lack of professionalism is thriving at the moment.

I'm also honestly shocked to find out not notifying the public about service changes isn't actually against the law. Even more evidence of us bus passengers just being left in the dark and treated like dirt on a shoe while operators confuse and disrupt people as much as they please.

You're talking shite you pal

Is this the first ZF powered Trident/E400 that Northstar have?

On another note, I'd quite like to see them have a go at the 350/351 if the numbers stacked up east of West Allotment.

Can't remember the last time an ANE bus was withdrawn by Arriva and went on to further service within the region? 4513/15 went on to serve elsewhere, 7410/2/3/4 (P-CCUs, not the B7s) went down to Cornwall - maybe it was 7377 when that went to Stagecarriage?
RE: Northstar
Only other vehicles I can think of at the time are the Stuff that went from Arriva Hexham to Go North East which was around the same time period.

Before that, it was probably the Leyland Lynxes and Leyland Tigers sold to Northumbria Coaches, although one was repainted, the Tigers didn't get used, but the Lynxes got put to good use. Though that was 2006.

Normally though the vast majority of vehicles that left Arriva NE went to the scrappers.

Anyway, this is part of Darth Dans evil plan, he plans to use this vehicle to release the Kraken and unleash it on Tyneside. https://www.flickr.com/photos/gjm-photog...1755873124

Ex Metroline "TE1089". Interestingly 423 "TE1092" LK60 AGY which is also of the same batch has disappeared of the fleet list on Bustimes.org.

Some gaps in Fleet Numbers to be filled in between 416-420, 428/430 and 433. 434 and 436.

Dan must've a fair few Buses in Storage excluding the Dennis Trident Optare Olympus' that have not yet seen service with Northstar.

They don't own any Optare Solo SR's.
RE: Northstar
ADL Trident / Optare Olympus number 438 looks to have suffered a fire whilst returning empty back to the depot on the A1 at Westerhope Junction this evening. Looking at the video posted, most of the bus looks to be intact and the driver got away from the vehicle safely.

Additionally before certain person / people start running their mouths off. Fires like this can happen to any bus / any operator / any owner. It doesn't mean the fleet is a danger to the public. No doubt a full investigation will be performed into the cause of the fire.
