Ah okay, I’m a driver at stagecoach so hearing rumours from other drivers, stagecoach only on £16.40 until next August when they go to £16.90 so be interesting to see what they get

I understand GNE been offered 3.5% from Jan 27 (so £16.49 top rate), with a further 3% from Jan 28 (taking top rate to £17.00).

I wonder if that’ll get accepted. That’s higher than stagecoach but then stagecoach will be higher again from August until January 2028 but then stagecoach due a pay deal April 2028.

Comprehensively rejected, I've been told.

Surely GNE can’t allow strikes like the last time. Fair play to the drivers though, may as well try and get what they deserve

Guessing it's the second year 3% which is the bigger blocker?

I'd never agree to anything like that, the things the way are lately if I had a choice.

That could be a massive real terms pay cut especially with the way things are going across the pond.
