Stagecoach North East: Latest News & Discussion - December 2014

RE: Stagecoach North East - Latest
Earlier on, I saw an unidentified gas bus on the 16, which was booting off passengers and transferring them onto a waiting gas bus.

No idea why

Maybe for re-fueling, not sure where they do change over for stuff like that.

However i would imagine that the

5/5A/8/10/11/12 will be Wilkinson's.

3/4/13/16/18/19 and the 23 - Wheatsheaf?

I can shed some light on this...

20550 and 841 were both off the road this morning and driving school needed 2 buses...  However it soon came apparent that 666 isn't fitted with duel controls so it went onto route learning it's on again Friday

That will likely have been 22012 (NK03 XJB) which I spotted looking rather freshly done in the yard on my way to work last night (about quarter to midnight).

22471 has now re-entered service at Stockton depot and is expected to replace 22210. 22208 is one of 4 examples dumped in the dead row alongside 22465 this morning.

Sunderland are playing at home, so probably will be required for the P&R.

Followed yesterday by 22472 and another example (trust me to decide to sit at the back of the lower deck of a Trident on the 13), while 22661 and another example (this one being towed from the front so unable to see from the car when passing) departed this morning. Hopefully we'll have a clearer picture in the next few days once the new fleet card is released.

ALX300's have around a year left, I think it will be a mixture of new buses and cascades (I can see more than Teesside getting new buses in the North East). We hope for Enviro 400's to takeover the Tridents, It will be difficult to get them I believe, so we may have to settle for DDA Alx400's until a few become available.
RE: Stagecoach North East - Latest
If not Enviro 400 can get over double deckers like Volvo b7tls or plaxton president bodied Dennis trident for stagecoach on Teesside and over single deckers would be nice not alx300.

The SAFC Park & Ride observes all stops near Hylton Riverside Retail Park - so you could get the 29 there from the Stadium of Light and ride that back for free.

At the Stop outside the Ticket Office, Gas Bus 28030 is on P&Rs.
